This list includes the major known limitations of CimatronE 10.0.

Number 1.1. Application\Function CM Description If installing CimatronE to the Program Files folder on a nonEnglish Vista\W7 operating system, CimatronE does not launch. CimatronE 10.0 supports only Cadenas version 9.02 and upwards. CimatronE 10.0 supports Moldex3D version from eXplorer 2011 (as supplied with the CimatronE 10.0 DVD) and eDesign 2010. On CimatronE 10.0 64-Bit Edition: 1.5. 1.6. DI DXF 2D DI Catia5 Import\Export 2D IGES does not work. Export to PFM 2D does not work. None. Requires manual registration of DLLs. Contact Cimatrons ITS. Use CimatronE 10.0 32-Bit Edition.

Sets by Criteria are not exported. On CimatronE 10.0 64-Bit Edition, the Catia5 converter may not work. This may happen on Windows7 and in case CimatronE is installed to the Program Files folder. The precision for the option Point-"Delta" is up to 3 decimal places. Slight differences between measuring in 3D and the dimension in Drafting. Text features created on CimatronE 8.5 or lower cannot be edited on CimatronE 64-Bit. Using the single line font Standard, the preview does not match the actual result. When setting the preferences to present threads as helix, Thread representation is not cut by the shape of the hole face. If copying a feature with new threads (annotations) - the copied threads are not associative.

Description Undo does not apply on changes done in threads (and PMI). When editing "Blank on Binder" and changing the faces selection - the constraints are not recalculated. When loading a drawing (with sketch) from CimatronE 9.0, its grid angle may be different than the view angle. Coordinate Labels created in versions prior to CimatronE 10.0 are not supported. On CimatronE 10.0 64-Bit Edition, it may happen that the EDM Setup will not launch. On CimatronE 10.0 64-Bit Edition, the Get Area function is not available. On CimatronE 10.0 64-Bit Edition, the AGIE machine is disabled. On CimatronE 10.0 64-Bit Edition, it may happen that the headline in dialogs is too large. Does not support Drawing template (i.e., containing two sheets and up). When upgrading CimatronE 9.0 to CimatronE 10.0 and loading CimatronE for the first time, the Motion Simulation bar is visible on top. Incorrect simulation of open objects.

Solution None. Create a new "Blank on Binder". None. Create new Coordinate Labels. Temporarily turn the system UAC OFF and register CimatronE manually. Use CimatronE 10.0 32-Bit Edition. Use CimatronE 10.0 32-Bit Edition. Use CimatronE 10.0 32-Bit Edition. As in previous versions: Use two templates (one sheet in each template) and set in the Preferences to Create 2 sheet drawing. Drag the pane to the bottom (or any other position). The new position will be stored from now on. When working with open objects: 1) Stitch (locally) possibly colliding areas. 2) Make sure the face normal points to the correct (outside) direction.

NC Transformation

If a transformations motions are not in the same UCS as the procedure, remaining stock is not updated. Running a 2nd Rough with 2D Orbit, depending on the surface offset the result may include undercut machining.

Application\Function NC-Finish NC- Execution

Description It is not possible to combine Helical machining with Sharp Edges. In case that on the same PC there are two different passes of CimatronE 10.0, both opened, the second session will run only in Immediate mode (background execution is not performed). A relevant message is displayed. To use the index, make sure that the date of the index file is the same or newer than the date of the folder where it is placed. If the License Server PC-Name includes non-English characters, the PC-Name in the License Server Monitor will not show correctly (display only). When invoking the Help (from the menu bar or by pressing F1), an error message is displayed.

On Line Help Machine Simulation Drafting - Update Installation

Temporary limitation. Activate the Windows bar at the top of the Machine Simulation window and press F1, or search/navigate to the required Help from the CimatronE Help. Restore attributes manually. Convert such files manually by invoking the CimatronE File Format Converter tool, located in the CimatronE Control Panel, under the Utilities section.

Updating a drafting file from a version prior to CimatronE 10.0 may result in lost attributes of Silhouette lines. The installation does not convert CimatronE files\templates saved in the previous (pre version 9.0) format, to version 9.0 format.
