Opposite Basilica De Bom Jesus , there is SE Cathedral . The unusually west facing cathedral with its Tuscan exterior had square towers in the Manueline style flanking the 98 ft high facade . At the base is a sculpture by Baroness Yrsa von Leistner , depicting a man facing west ( representing the past ) and a woman facing east ( representing the future ) .
