ThisDEECDendorsedcourserunsfrom4Juneto31October2014andprovidesVictorianteachers withaflexibleprofessionaldevelopmentprogramshowcasingthewaysinwhichteachersfrom aroundthestateareaddingvaluetoteachingandlearningthrougheffectiveandseamlessuseof ICTintheclassroom. Theprogramwillprovidepracticalexamplesofhowprimaryandsecondaryteachersareenhancingtheir curriculumdeliveryandstudentlearningthroughauthenticandeffectiveuseofICT,virtualcommunitiesand Web2.0tools.TheopeningsessionwillfeatureakeynoteaddressandworkshopfromWillRichardson,an internationallyrecognisededucator,writerandthinkerontheintersectionofsocialmediaandeducation.

apracticaloverviewofhowteachersareseamlesslyusingICTintheirteachingtoenhancestudent learning. abetterunderstandingofthetools,resources,learningcommunitiesandcollaborativepossibilitiesother teachersareexploringthroughICT. clear,practicalexamplesofhowtousereadilyavailablesoftware,devices,Web2.0toolsandlearning communitiestoaddvaluetoteachingandlearningatschool. anopportunitytoparticipatewithotherVictorianeducatorsinaninquirybasedlearningprojectdesignedto assistparticipantsandtheirschools.Projectsareguidedbyacoachingteamofexperiencededucators.

Participantsareexpectedtoallocateuptoonehourperweekoutsideschoolhoursengagingwithothersin onlinecourseactivity.DEECDcoverscoursecosts.SchoolscoverCRTsifrequiredfortwofacetofacedays.

TheTeachingandLearninginthe21stCenturyprogramwillinclude:
AnopeningfacetofaceeventonWednesday4JuneatNMIT(PrestonCampus). Sixonehourwebconferenceswithleadingclassroompractitionerscoveringtopicsthatinclude:General CapabilitiesintheAustralianCurriculum,ProfessionalLearningNetworks,CollaborationandInquiryBased Learning,ParentEngagement,andMakingEffectiveUseoftheRangeofDevicesAvailabletoStudents. InstructorledprofessionaldevelopmentforteachersincludingonlineforumsandWeb2.0resourcesthat empowerlearning,collaborationandcommunicationforstudentsandteachers.ThesewillincludeGlobal2, FuseandcloudsuitessuchasMicrosoftOffice365forEducationandGoogleAppsforEducation. AselfselectedInquirybasedlearningprojectwithateamofotherVictorianeducators. AculminatingfacetofaceeventonFriday31OctoberatNMIT(PrestonCampus).
