SECOND QUARTER NEWSLETTER - Dear

Friends and Loved Ones: Greetings from this Lord's servant in Hawaii. May you find great joy in your serv ice in the Kingdom. I do! It is a pleasure to have ways to
serve Him, and to see the results in the lives of those
that service has touched.

The last Sunday in March we celebrated 25 years of faithful service the Steven Sturm family has rendered with the Waialpa Church. A capacity crowd from the community and sister churches joined us to say "thank you." Glen Powell, the founding minister of the congre gation spoke, and his son (the pianist in those early days) played and sang special numbers, the children sang as well as others. Individuals recalled events that touched them. It was a heart-warming day. I keep mentioning Teresa and her family. Until she got a car, I took the family to church. Her son Joey was baptized months ago. Both he and his girl friend work on Sundays oftentimes - she is a college student, but they attend together when they can. She was baptized in April. I mentioned in last quarter's newsletter that a young mother was baptized. She had faithfully brought her daughter to church for months and her baby, too. But then the father came with the baby. He mentioned
to Zola that he needed to become a Christian, too. Our

system. The day was sparkling, and the setting at a park overlooking the ocean was beautiful - it was an inspir ing service. Our Bible Club kids did an outstanding job in their playlet for Mother's Day. Annie (my secret prayer sister) directed, Zola and I were the two teachers, and our classes suggested descriptive words for their Mothers so funny. They finished with complimentary terms,
however.

which will be June 11-15. Our theme is "Jesus to the

Rescue." With Joy's connections as a nurse we will be hawing community rescue teams wsiting us. Sounds ex
