Dear Beloved,
There comes a time in our walk with Christ Jesus when
mediocrity want foot the bill. There must be a paradigm shift
in our relationship with Christ Jesus. The new paradigm causes
us to inspect our motives for serving, our desire for worship,
and our commitment for giving. If the truth be told we have
not offered our best to God and as a result our ministry reach
has been limited. 1 John 4:4 states:

You are of God, little children, and have overcome them,
because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the
world.

The scripture is our call to transform and a call to a season of
GREATER. This is our season to walk in victory: spiritually,
financially, and numerically. It is my prayer that we will
experience the power of Christ Jesus in our lives. We must
pray, serve, sacrifice and most importantly give God praise in
advance for what is yet to come. GREATER!

Nevertheless, God has called us to go deeper in our relationship
with Him and with others. I am reminded of Jesus words to the
Disciples, This kind can come out by nothing but prayer and
fasting (Mark 9:29). Thus, we are called to 40 Days of
Change. As we enter into this 40 Day Fast it is my sincere
prayer that God will speak to our hearts as we attempt to grow
a deeper relationship with Him and one another.

I believe we are standing on the eve of greatness, so I am
asking as we set ourselves apart these forty (40) days that we
pray and believe God for Transformation.

Instructions for the 40 Day Fast

The daily devotions are divided into eight (8) sections that
have an opening thought for you to read. The scriptures
references are taken from several portions of the Bible that
model 40 Day Fasts. Each section is aimed at different
ministries, organizations and/or needs within in our church and
our community.

Every day you will read the scripture references and
meditate on them all day.
The prayer targets are things that you will concentrate
your prayers on. They can be read and expounded
upon or as you pray let the spirit make intercession
through you.
The fast for the day is to be followed so that we are all
fasting as a unified army. If you have any health
concerns, then please use wisdom and fast according
to your ability. However, please remember that we are
putting the body under subjection.
The section that reads My Personal Prayer Target is
for you to write down your personal targets as we pray
and fast each day.
The section that reads Our Fast when indicating
juices should consist of fruit juices, vegetables juices
and/or broths. Shakes and/or smoothies would not be
considered a liquid.
The section that reads My Thoughts is for your
personal insights that the Lord may speak to you
about.
The signature section on the bottom is for you to be
accountable to yourself and to the Lord.

Instructions for the 40 Day Fast

If you would like to do a different kind of fast and only
follow the book for devotions that is perfectly fine but
you are encouraged to fast in some form during these
40 days.
You may want to try the Daniel Fast. This type of fast
is a basic diet of raw vegetables, fruits, nuts, juices and
water for the entire 40 days, from sun up to sun down
daily.
Be challenged and committed to seeking the Lord and
anticipate to see the hand of God move!

A Commitment to 40 Days of Fasting and Prayer

Isaiah 58:6-12
Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the
chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the
oppressed free and break every yoke? Is it not to share your
food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with
shelter when you see the naked, to clothe him, and not to turn
away from your own flesh and blood? Then your light will
break forth like the dawn, and your healing will quickly appear;
then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of
the LORD will be your rear guard. Then you will call, and the
LORD will answer; you will cry for help, and he will say: Here
am I. If you do away with the yoke of oppression, with the
pointing finger and malicious talk, and if you spend yourselves
in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed,
then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will
become like the noonday. The LORD will guide you always; he
will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will
strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered
garden, like a spring whose waters never fail. Your people will
rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age old
foundations; you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls,
Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.
As we join together as ki ngdom peopl e to separate
ourselves for these next 40 days there is much to consider and
ponder in our hearts. Things we should consider during this fast
are what is my level of commitment to complete this task? What
new things will God do in me? Our thinking should be to lay aside
everything that so easily besets us and look unto the author and
finisher of our faith. For we are a people of faith doing all things
through prayer, praise, service & sacrifice and in doing so our Lord
Jesus Christ will receive all the glory for this endeavor.

The number 40 is mentioned over 120 times in the Bible. It
may be interesting for you to find these references in your time of
personal devotions. In Matthew 4 the temptation of Jesus
signified a 40 day fast to the Father. Jesus used the word of
God accessing the power of God to come against the Devil and
overcame all temptation.
We are being called on to prepare the way for the Lord to come
and do his work in our ministry like never before. His judgments are
true yet his mercies are new. He that has an ear must hear what
his spirit is saying to us. We are to make straight the
pathway of the Lord to come and do what He has
prophesied He will do as we fast and separate ourselves
from daily comforts, pleasures and substance. He will
complete the work He has started so we must also commit ourselves
to prepare our hearts and lives in order to complete this 40 day
fast.
We are calling on His mercies to engulf our loved ones, our churches,
and His people. We are calling for Him to come like He has never
come before. We welcome His judgments because they are true and fair.
There is none other who could love us with such an everlasting love that
would prepare a way for us to go forth and proclaim the salvation of the
Lord to all those who perish, Psalms 105:1-8.

COME AND WORSHIP
EXODUS 24:1-18

Moses stayed on the mountain for 40 days and
nights. God had called him to come and worship
along with the other chosen leaders that were
called by name. We have been called by name
to spend these next 40 days in worship and
praise, waiting for instructions from the Lord.
The power of uniting as one (vs. 3) will bring an
experience that will change each and every one
of us. Our prayer is that the people of God will
do everything that the Lord has instructed us to
do. Our plea is that God will ignite
something new in us that will change and
challenge us like never before.

DAYS 1-4
I Am Committed to Complete the Task Before Me
Focus: Today is the starting day of our fast it is a day to cleanse and prepare our hearts to embrace
the full scope of what God has planned for each one of us!
Our Fast
Our fast today will be for cleansing and we shall eat only vegetables either fresh or
boiled with no sauces or dressings only salt & pepper from sun up until 5:00p.m.

John 1:1-18 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and
the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things
were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and
that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness
has not understood it. There came a man who was sent from God; his name was
John. He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him all
men might believe. He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to
the light. The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world.
He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did
not recognize him. He came to that which was his own, but his own did not
receive him. Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he
gave the right to become children of God, children born not of natural descent,
nor of human decision or a husband's will, but born of God. The Word
became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the
glory of the One and only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth. John
testifies concerning him. He cries out, saying, This was he of whom I said, He
who comes after me has surpassed me because he was before me. From the fullness
of his grace we have all received one blessing after another. For the law was
given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has ever
seen God, but God the One and only, who is at the Father's side, has made him
known.

will understand the price of sacrifice!
Our Fast
Today we will be abstaining from any food from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. liquids only.

Hebrews 10:5-7
Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said: Sacrifice and offering you
did not desire, but a body you prepared for me; with burnt offerings and
sin offerings you were not pleased. Then I said, Here I am, it is written about
me in the scroll, I have come to do your will, O God.
Psalm 54:6
I will sacrifice a freewill offering to you; I will praise your name, O Lord, for it is good.
Romans 12:1-2
Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as
living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God--this is your spiritual act of
worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be
transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and
approve what God's will is his good pleasing and perfect will.

Today we shall abstain from all types of meat until tomorrow morning!

2 Corinthians 12:9
But he said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made
perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my
weaknesses, so that Christs power may rest on me.
Philippians 4:13
I can do everything through him who gives me strength.
Isaiah 40:29 & 31
He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Verse 31 but
those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like
eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Ephesians 3:16
I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power
through his Spirit in your inner being,
Joshua 1:9
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not
be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.

Lord you know my strengths and my weakness on this third day; I

In the House of Worship I abide
Focus: Lord, give me a deep love & desire to dwell in your house.
Our Fast
Today we will be fasting from the time we wake up until 9:00p.m. Only water and
fruits today! Dedicate an extra 30 minutes worshipping the Lord.

Psalm 27:4-6, 8
One thing I ask of the Lord, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of
the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to seek
him in his temple. For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling;
he will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle and set me high upon a rock. Then
my head will be exalted above the enemies who surround me; at his tabernacle
will I sacrifice with shouts of joy; I will sing and make music to the Lord. Verse 8
My heart says of you, Seek his face! Your face, Lord I will seek.
Psalm 34:1-3
I will extol the Lord at all times; his praise will always be on my lips. My soul will
boast in the Lord; let the afflicted hear and rejoice. Glorify the Lord with me; let us
exalt His name together.

Lord, remind me always, with confidence in your word that you

THE LORD WILL GIVE US STRENGTH
I KINGS 19

In the midst of Elijahs greatest battles the Lord
gave him strength to complete the task
before him. He was in turmoil, and being
pursued by the enemy. He was battling his
human nature of fear and discouragement. Yet
God supplied food for him to eat that gave him
strength for a 40 day journey. God had a plan
for Elijah to anoint the next leaders for Israel.
Then he was to train and disciple Elisha. During
this time the greatest thing that happened was
that Elijah learned to distinguish Gods
voice even in the midst of great tribulation
and distraction. May we also experience this
as we fast and pray for these 40 days & nights.
No matter what may be happening in our life
stick to the plan and hear the voice of the Lord.

DAYS 5-11
Pastor & Family Prayer
Focus: Today we pray for the divine guidance & protection of our shepherd and his family

Our Fast
Today we will be abstaining from food, liquids only from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Be challenged to memorize a scripture today.

Psalm 20 (NKJV)
May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble; May the name of the God of
Jacob defend you; May He send you help from the sanctuary, And strengthen you
out of Zion; May He remember all your offerings, And accept your burnt
sacrifice. Selah. May He grant you according to your heart's desire, and fulfill all
your purpose. We will rejoice in your salvation, and in the name of our God
we will set up our banners! May the Lord fulfill all your petitions. Now I know
that the Lord saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven
with the saving strength of His right hand. Some trust in chariots, and some in
horses; but we will remember the name of the Lord our God. They have bowed
down and fallen; but we have risen and stand upright. Save, Lord! May the King
answer us when we call.

From sun up to sun down we will not eat any meats. Spend an extra half hour
studying Gods Word.

Consecrate yourselves and be holy, because I am the LORD your God. Keep my
decrees and follow them. I am the LORD, who makes you holy.

worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness.
2 Corinthians 7:1
Since we have these promises, dear friends, let us purify ourselves from
everything that contaminates body and spirit, perfecting holiness out of
reverence for God.
Ephesians 4:24
And to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and
holiness.
Revelations 4:10-11
The twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne, and
worship him who lives forever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne
and say: "You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and
power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have
their being."

Today we will abstain from two meals; you may eat one meal of your choice.

Romans 12:4-11
Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not
all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and
each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the
grace given us. If a man's gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion
to his faith. If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is
encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him
give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing
mercy, let him do it cheerfully. Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling
to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one
another above yourselves. Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor,
serving the Lord.
2 Chronicles 34:12-13
The men did the work faithfully. Over them to direct them were Jahath and
Obadiah, Levites descended from Merari, and Zechariah and Meshullam,
descended from Kohath. The Levites, all who were skilled in playing musical
instruments had charge of the laborers and supervised all the workers from job
to job. Some of the Levites were secretaries, scribes and doorkeepers.

1 Samuel 14:6-7
Jonathan said to his young armor-bearer, Come, lets go over to the outpost of
those uncircumcised fellows. Perhaps the Lord will act in our behalf. Nothing
can hinder the Lord from saving, whether by many or by few. Do all that you
have in mind, his armor-bearer said. Go ahead; I am with you heart and soul.
Ephesians 6:7-8
Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men, because you
know that the Lord will reward everyone for whatever good he does, whether he is
slave or free.
Daniel 8:27a
I, Daniel, was exhausted and lay ill for several days. Then I got up and went
about the king's business.

Lord, help our church ministry/department leaders to have the heart

Today we shall abstain from two meals of your choice and contribute what we would
have spent on meals towards the Ministry of Kindness.

Malachi 3:10-11
Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test
me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the
floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room
enough for it. I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in
your fields will not cast their fruit," says the LORD Almighty."

Making God Priority in our Personal Finances
Focus: Pray for disciplined stewardship over our personal time, talents & treasures

Our Fast
Today we will abstain from any food that is white or has anything white in it, until
tomorrow morning. For example: Nothing with sugar, white flour, rice, potatoes,
etc.

Malachi 3:10-12
Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me
in this," says the Lord Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of
heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it. I will
prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not cast
their fruit," says the Lord Almighty. "Then all the nations will call you blessed, for
yours will be a delightful land," says the Lord Almighty.

Prayer Target
Thank God for His protection and provision.
Acknowledge everything He has protected you and your
family from and acknowledge what He has provided. Stop to
think about them and name them. Rejoice and thank God for
what He has done and is going to do.
Repent if you have not been tithing/giving as you should (Malachi
3:10) If you have not been giving then:
Ask God for forgiveness for not doing what His word has
commanded you to do.
Ask God for forgiveness for not trusting that He will provide.
Ask God to give you the faith to believe Him for His Word.
Pray for faith to release and faith to receive.
Believe that God desires to bless you.
Ask God to give us the faith to release your finances to God,
and faith to receive finances from God.
Ask the Lord to rebuke the enemy from having any hold on your
personal finances.
Pray that you would be a channel of blessings.

DAY 11

GODS CHOSEN
GENESIS 7:11-13

Noah spent 40 days hearing the rain fall upon
the ark. It is hard to imagine what he must have
been going through. Perhaps there was some
doubt that the ark would hold, remember it had
never rained before. Yet he remained about his
business attending to all the animals in the ark.
And dont forget that his family was in there
too. What were they experiencing as Noah
obeyed God. As we fast for these 40 days
remember rain may fall and we may hear the
winds beating against the doors of our lives but
we must endure. Keep believing in the mercy
and grace of our Lord to see us through. You
may even experience some feedback from your
family but remember like Noah we are standing
the gap. The next days will be focused on our
children. Stand strong even if it seems that they
are not responding. God is faithful and our
prayers are being heard. There is a future for
our families, our ministry and our church
and the future is found in our children.

DAYS 12-18
Youth
Focus: Growth of youth ministries within our church

Our Fast
No television, video games or computer chatting online. No reading of newspapers,
magazines or novels from 6:00a.m. to 6:00a.m. tomorrow, dedicate this day to Bible
reading.

1 John 2:12-17
I write to you, dear children, because your sins have been forgiven on account of his
name. I write to you, fathers, because you have known him who is from the
beginning. I write to you, young men, because you have overcome the evil one. I write
to you, dear children, because you have known the Father. I write to you, fathers,
because you have known him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young
men, because you are strong, and the word of God lives in you, and you have
overcome the evil one. Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone
loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world--
the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has
and does--comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires

Sunrise until tomorrow morning, this chosen fast comes from Daniel 10:3 which is, no
choice food, no meat, no wine and no anointing of the body. As a personal sacrifice to
our Lord you shall pick what your choice fast will be and abstain as unto the Lord!

Daniel 10:1-21
In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia, a revelation was given to Daniel (who
was called Belteshazzar). Its message was true and it concerned a great war. The
understanding of the message came to him in a vision. At that time I, Daniel,
mourned for three weeks. I ate no choice food; no meat or wine touched my lips;
and I used no lotions at all until the three weeks were over. On the twenty-fourth
day of the first month, as I was standing on the bank of the great river, the Tigris, I
looked up and there before me was a man dressed in linen, with a belt of the
finest gold around his waist. His body was like chrysolite, his face like lightning,
his eyes like flaming torches, his arms and legs like the gleam of burnished
bronze, and his voice like the sound of a multitude.

I, Daniel, was the only one who saw the vision; the men with me did not see it, but

Then I heard him speaking, and as I listened to him, I fell into a deep sleep, my

response to them. But the prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty-one
days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, because I was
detained there with the king of Persia. Now I have come to explain to you what will
happen to your people in the future, for the vision concerns a time yet to come.
While he was saying this to me, I bowed with my face toward the ground and was
speechless.

Then one who looked like a man touched my lips, and I opened my mouth and began to
speak. I said to the one standing before me, I am overcome with anguish because
of the vision, my lord, and I am helpless. How can I, your servant, talk with you, my
lord? My strength is gone and I can hardly breathe. Again the one who looked like
a man touched me and gave me strength. Do not be afraid, O man highly
esteemed, he said. Peace! Be strong now; be strong.

THE PROMISE
NUMBERS 13

Moses dedicated 40 days for the exploration of
the land that God had promised them. As we
separate for the next 40 days we are asking
God to show us that He has for us like He did in
days past. We are claiming our inheritance and
asking God to give us possession of it. We are
praying and fasting for God to raise men and
women to take leadership positions. Our prayer
is that people will respond and not be
overwhelmed by the task laid before them,

Our fast will begin from sun up until 6:00pm. Set aside 3 times to pray during the
course of your day. Each time you set aside can be set for 1-2 hours depending
on your schedule. The fast will consist of only water and juices abstaining from
other beverages and foods.

Psalms 133:1
How good and pleasant it is when the brothers live together in unity!
It pleases the Lord when we dwell in unity! As our spiritual family begins to make
plans for conference time, there needs to be a spiritual joining that unifies us
because we are all of the same heritage! We are linked together to reach a hurting
and dying world and our local communities! Our spiritual family is irreplaceable
and we need to teach not only ourselves but include our next generations to have a
strong spiritual family bond and uphold this family value for one another in our home
church which will transcend into our global connection of churches. Understanding
we need to love one another and desire passionately to be a united front as
a whole body! Always remember when there is a United Family, nothing can
divide us.

body of elders laid their hands on you. Be diligent in these matters; give yourself
wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress. Watch your life and
doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself
and your hearers.

AN EXPERIENCE WITH JESUS

In the book of Acts it records the appearance of
Jesus to his disciples and many others over a 40
day period. The miraculous thing was that he
was now the resurrected Christ. Jesus walked,
talked and broke bread with the disciples
speaking only of the Kingdom of God. We are
going to believe that God will release his
power over all the people of Pineville AME
Zion Church. In these 40 days we will pray
that we will have a personal experience with
Jesus and that the church would have the same
experience.

Men within Our Community

Our Fast
Today we shall skip one meal of your choice.

Galatians 5:13-14
You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to
indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love. The entire law is
summed up in a single command: "Love your neighbor as yourself."

Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love
of the Father is not in him. For everything in the world, the cravings of sinful man,
the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does comes not from the
Father but from the world.

prison and you came to visit me.
Zechariah 9:11-12
As for you, because of the blood of my covenant with you, I will free your
prisoners from the waterless pit. Return to your fortress, O prisoners of hope;
even now I announce that I will restore twice as much to you.

Laborers: That more people in the church would hear the cry of the
prisoner and would get a burden and want to get involved with
Prison Ministry.
Leadership: That the Lord would raise up leadership within

Open the prisoners eyes that are blind to their sin.

Death has climbed in through our windows and has entered our fortresses; it has
cut off the children from the streets and the young men from the public squares.
Say, This is what the Lord declares. The dead bodies of men will lie like refuse
on the open field, like cut grain behind the reaper, with no one to gather them.

1 Peter 3:1-9
Wives, in the same way be submissive to your husbands so that, if any of them do not
believe the word, they may be won over without words by the behavior of their
wives, when they see the purity and reverence of your lives. Your beauty should
not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold
jewelry and fine clothes. Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading
beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight. For this
is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in God used to make
themselves beautiful. They were submissive to their own husbands, like Sarah,
who obeyed Abraham and called him her master. You are her daughters if you do
what is right and do not give way to fear. Husbands, in the same way be
considerate as you live with your wives, and treat them with respect as the weaker
partner and as heirs with you of the gracious gift of life, so that nothing will hinder
your prayers. Finally, all of you, live in harmony with one another; be
sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate and humble. Do not repay evil
with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called so
that you may inherit a blessing.

Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in
sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. Rather, clothe

Then the Lord your God will make you most prosperous in all the work of your
hands.

He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and
whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.

Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in his ways. You will eat the fruit of your
labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours.

Pray we would believe that God has called us to be business owners to help

JONAH 3

Jonah preached repentance to Nineveh for 40
days. As we pray and fast for 40 days we will be
praying for our cities that they would be ready
for salvation and respond as the king of Nineveh
did. Pray that people would recognize God, and
that they would be subjected to the word and
the Power of God. Jonah preached
repentance and the response was
salvation to the city and all the families
were saved!

DAYS 33-37
Responding To The Call
Focus: Our Worship Facility, Education Space and Church Land
Our Fast
Today we will do a Daniel fast that consist of having only fruits, vegetables, nuts
and water or juices to drink until tomorrow morning.

Matthew 16:18-19
And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the
gates of Hades will not overcome it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom
of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you
loose on earth will be loosed in heaven."
Acts 14:21-28
They preached the good news in that city and won a large number of disciples. Then
they returned to Lystra, Iconium and Antioch, strengthening the disciples and
encouraging them to remain true to the faith. "We must go through many
hardships to enter the kingdom of God," they said. Paul and Barnabas appointed
elders for them in each church and, with prayer and fasting, committed them to
the Lord, in whom they had put their trust. After going through Pisidia, they came
into Pamphylia, and when they had preached the word in Perga, they went
down to Attalia. From Attalia they sailed back to Antioch, where they had been
committed to the grace of God for the work they had now completed. On arriving
there, they gathered the church together and reported all that God had done
through them and how he had opened the door of faith to the Gentiles. And they
stayed there a long time with the disciples.

among a people of unclean lips, and my eyes have seen the King, the Lord
Almighty." Then one of the seraphs flew to me with a live coal in his hand, which
he had taken with tongs from the altar. With it he touched my mouth and said,
"See, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for."
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go
for us?" And I said, "Here am I, send me!"
John 4:34-38
"My food," said Jesus" is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work.
Do you not say, 'Four months more and then the harvest'? I tell you, open your
eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest. Even now the reaper draws his
wages; even now he harvests the crop for eternal life, so that the sower and the
reaper may be glad together. Thus the saying 'One sows and another reaps' is
true. I sent you to reap what you have not worked for. Others have done the hard
work, and you have reaped the benefits of their labor.

Do you not say, 'Four months more and then the harvest'? I tell you, open your
eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.

Pray for the lost that Gods grace, mercy and call to salvation would

Pray for the harvesting of souls, that many would be ready to accept

Pray that the laborers would be protected from the enemy as
they are harvesting.
Pray that we would align ourselves with this move of God in

Focus: Pray that all physical & mental conflicts are conquered through faith in the Lord.
Our Fast
Today we will abstain from television; we are to eat a light breakfast, no lunch or
dinner, only water and the word. Suggestion, read healing materials.

John 5:1-9
Some time later, Jesus went up to Jerusalem for a feast of the Jews. Now there is in
Jerusalem near the Sheep Gate a pool, which in Aramaic is called Bethesda,
which is surrounded by five covered colonnades. Here a great number of
disabled people used to lie, the blind, the lame, and the paralyzed. One who was
there had been an invalid for thirty-eight years When Jesus saw him lying there and
learned that he had been in this condition for a long time; he asked him, Do you
want to get well? Sir, the invalid replied, I have no one to help me into the pool
when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down
ahead of me. Then Jesus said to him, Get up! Pick up your mat and walk. At once
the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked. The day on which this took
place was a Sabbath.

Prayer Target
Pray Gods spirit would move in a mighty way in our services. As
the spirit is stirring our hearts in faith that many would receive their
healing.
Pray we would have the faith that the Lord desires us to know, your
faith has made you well.
Pray the people would allow their sickness to cause them to draw
closer to God more than ever before and sin would not be what keeps
them from receiving their healing.
Pray after God heals, as our faith is being stirred, that they would
not go back to their former ways, but to be found in His temple, doing
His will.

Today we will abstain from two meals and eat one meal after 6:00 p.m. Make extra
efforts to call an unsaved family member today!

They replied, Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved you and your
household. Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all the others
in his house. At that hour of the night the jailer took them and washed their wounds;
then immediately he and all his family were baptized. The jailer brought them into
his house and set a meal before them; he was filled with joy because he had come to
believe in God he and his whole family.
Acts 4:12
Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to
men by which we must be saved."
Luke 19:9
Jesus said to him, "Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a
son of Abraham.

Pray for the salvation of our family members.
Break the generational curses in our family by taking authority and
believing that the chains of bondage will be broken.

Pray for a hedge of protection upon every family member.

As we finish off these last few days of our time
together of prayer and fasting let us be
reminded of the grace of God. It is only He that
has brought us this far. We must remain faithful
to the call and go into all of the world and
preach the Gospel to those that are lost. We
must stay true to live a consecrated and holy
life separated from those things that are not
pleasing to our Lord. We must remain faithful to
sacrifice and give of our finances to support our
church. Truly we must be a peculiar people!

DAYS 38-40
All to Jesus, We Surrender
Focus: Relying on the Lords strength & ability through Intentional Faith Development.
Our Fast
Today we shall abstain from all foods with meat including any meat flavoring
sauces, gravies or broths etc, as you rise in the morning until 5:00 p.m.

Matthew 16:24-28
Then Jesus said to his disciples, "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and
take up his cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but
whoever loses his life for me will find it. What good will it be for a man if he gains the
whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul? For the
Son of Man is going to come in his Father's glory with his angels, and then he will reward
each person according to what he has done. I tell you the truth, some who are standing
here will not taste death before they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom."

The fear of the Lord teaches a man wisdom, and humility comes before honor.

Humility and the fear of the Lord bring wealth and honor and life.
1 Peter 5:5-11
Young men, in the same way be submissive to those who are older. All of you, clothe
yourselves with humility toward one another, because, "God opposes the proud
but gives grace to the humble." Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's
mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him
because he cares for you. Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil
prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him,
standing firm in the faith, because you know that your brothers throughout the
world are undergoing the same kind of sufferings. And the God of all grace, who
called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will
himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. To Him be the power

Lord, receive my broken spirit and contrite heart as a sacrificial

Exodus 33:13-23
If you are pleased with me, teach me your ways so I may know you and
continue to find favor with you. Remember that this nation is your people." The
Lord replied, "My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest." Then
Moses said to him, "If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from
here. How will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people
unless you go with us? What else will distinguish me and your people from all the
other people on the face of the earth?" And the Lord said to Moses, "I will do the
very thing you have asked, because I am pleased with you and I know you by
name." Then Moses said, "Now show me your glory." And the Lord said, "I will
cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the
Lord, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will
have compassion on whom I will have compassion. But," he said, "you cannot see
my face, for no one may see me and live." Then the Lord said, "There is a place near
me where you may stand on a rock. When my glory passes by, I will put you in a
cleft in the rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by. Then I will
remove my hand and you will see my back; but my face must not be seen.
Romans 2:7
To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will
give eternal life.
Revelations 4:9-11
Whenever the living creatures give glory, honor and thanks to him who sits on the
throne and who lives forever and ever, the twenty-four elders fall down before
him who sits on the throne, and worship him who lives forever and ever. They lay
their crowns before the throne and say: You are worthy, our Lord and God, to
receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they
were created and have their being.

Prayer Target

Through persistency we were able to finish this 40 day fast gibing all
honor and glory to God.
Remind us that He has power over everything both in heaven and on
earth.
Position us Lord to bare spiritual fruit of righteousness, by Jesus Christ,
unto the glory and praise of God. (Phil.1:11)
We look to you Lord for justice, blessings and promotions.
May we live to bring you glory for all the things you have done.
Lord through the 40 days I hope you are pleased with me, that I have
learned some of your ways. May I continue to find favor with you, and
that you would always remember this nation, Pineville AME Zion Church.
Lord, please reply and say, that your presence will be with us and give us
rest.
