( NETSPLF)

OVERVIEW
The Send Spooled File to Email (NETSPLF) command enables the AS/400 user to attach a
spooled file within an email to multiple recipients (up to 10). The total size of mail & attachment is
limited to 1-Mb (or whatever the number the mail server allows). NETSPLF interfaces with Send
Distribution (SNDDST). Here are some features of the NETSPLF command:
Allow 10 mail recipients.
Only attaches spooled file for output queues the user is authorized to. (E.g. if output
queue is PAYROLL and user is not authorized to PAYROLL, the spooled file within
the output queue cannot be sent).
Can convert spooled file in text format, web-page format, MS-Word format or PDF
format.


COMMAND PROMPT
The following parameters are used:





















NETSPLF COMMAND
FILE

AS/400 Spooled file name to be sent as an attachment within the email.
JOB

AS/400 Job that created the spooled file.
SPLNBR

The number of the spooled file, from the job whose spool file will be attached.
TYPE

The resulting attachment type for the email. Type of attachment can be text (*TXT), web-
page (*HTM), MS-Word (*DOC) format or Acrobat PDF (*PDF) format.
MSG

Email message sent to the recipients.
EMAIL
