Professional Development Plan

The below Professional Development Plan outlines specific standards and descriptors out of the Australian Professional
Standards for Teachers at a Graduate level in which I believe I need to develop on. In order to reach the Proficient level of
the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers and descriptors the steps below will need to occur.

- The Indigenous
Schooling Support Unit
at Inala. This Library will
help me find useful
resources to implement
into my lessons and
learning sequences for
students to use.
- Learning Support Staff
and other Senior
Teachers at schools who
have had a range of
experience teaching
Aboriginal and Torres
Strait Islander students
who would be able to
help me reflect on my
lessons and also give
help for developing
further learning
experiences for these
students.

people to promote
reconciliation between
Indigenous and non-
Indigenous Australians
(AITSL, 2014).
- More knowledgeable

Indigenous and non-
Indigenous Australians.

resources to help aid
their learning
experiences.
- To have my own greater
understanding of
reconciliation and the
hardships Indigenous
Australians have faced
with non-Indigenous
Australians.
- To implement a variety
of ways to educate
students about the past
battles of Indigenous
Australians and non-
Indigenous Australians.
- To visit the Ngutana-Lui
Centre to learn about
increasing my own
awareness and my
classs awareness of the
reconciliation.
- The Indigenous
Schooling Support Unit

help me find useful
resources to implement
into my lessons and
learning sequences for
students to use.
