Why apprenticeships?
Apprenticeships allow for organisations to incorporate a robust, repeatable structure into their re-
cruitment plans by linking industry specifc apprenticeships and frameworks that are already availa-
ble to the organisation. These structures are often scalable, with the ability for schemes to be repli-
cated across diferent areas of the business and across geographic locations.

Our support of these schemes has meant we have recruited almost 160 apprentices in the UK since
April 2013 and predict to take on around 20 more each month for the foreseeable future. We contin-
ue to host assessment centres regularly, which attract candidates from all over the South East of
England and incorporate assessments with information about our organisation.

This means that we focus our attention on providing real life working situations and carry out tests
to certify that we are in line with our recruitment and selection standards across the business. Fur-
thermore, apprenticeship schemes have meant that our presence at career fairs and events at local
schools have also increased, helping to promote brand awareness.

What do you get?
Apprenticeships are work-based training programmes designed around the needs of employers,
which lead to nationally recognised qualifcations. They are designed by the Sector Skills Councils,
while the National Apprenticeship Service helps to fund the training. An Apprenticeship now takes
minimum of 18 months; they are a combination of on-the-job training and assessment, college
training and qualifcations.

IFDS apprenticeship scheme will include corporate induction, work place training, college tutorial
training (via assessor visits and webinars) and Buddy system.
Our Apprenticeship Schemes provide you the chance to gain valuable on the job training as well as
achieving an NVQ Level 2 and an industry recognised Investment Qualifcation . On top of that you
