intro
a. The FDA stands for Food and drug administration in which their
job is to inspect and protect the foods that the American people
eat and buy. But in this decade that doesnt seem to be the case.
Putting inaccurate labels, and failure to acknolwledge genetic
modifiers (GMOS) in food on their labels is a huge issue that is
rapidly growing in America. Creating an easy website in which
people can put the barcode of their food product and being able to
know all of the ingredients added into the food.
A: Introduction to thesis statement
1.food is not being properly labeled, added GMOS are also
not being labeled and meat is not being properly monitored
or packaged
2. A good example of the meat not being properly
monitored or packaged is the swine flu also known as
pig influenza, hog flu, pig food. It was a 2009 outbreak a
total of 74 countries were affected.
3. People all around the world have been affected by the
FDAs lack of labeling and care taking when it comes to
meat and other foods as well. Children, and other
countries are deeply affected.
4. My solution is to be able to create a website in which
you can put the barcode of the food in and be able to get
all the ingredients even added GMOS, for meat would
be the same thing but it would be tell where the animal
was raised, age it was slaughtered and packaged.

3. what should be cued for the next topic is to talk about the huge
epidemic of peanut allergies and compare it back to the 80s in which
a peanut allergy was rarely heard of.

III. Examine Alternative Soluitions
1. my first solution is to create a website to know food proper ingredients,
for example, Triscuit Crackers. You would take the barcode from the back
or the bottom of the box type in all the letter and/or numbers it will say
where each one of the ingredients come from, the date the food was
processed, and if any of the ingredients had any modifers added into.
2. One of the weaknesses that my solution could have is even though the
website would provide a lot of good in depth information about the
product it does not mean the FDA has to report it or report any of the
ingredients or GMOS added.
IV. conclusion
1. the problem within the food industry is so critical with the faulty
labels and the need to put an end to the GMOS being added
without anyone consent or even knowledge. This labeling is
causing allergies and even deaths within the American Society.
2. By creating a website that is connected to the FDA people will be
able to find out all information about ingredients and even
benefits to the foods that are shelf life and even meats. Which will
create less unknown allergies and will lessen the problems that
come from GMOS
The conclusion: the way I will end my paper is by doing another
statistics and by adding more information about the new rules and
updates about the new rules and FDA regulations.
