Purpose: To provide a framework for reection and collaborative conversations about teaching and learning.
Directions: Read over the guiding questions below. As you view the video, jot down notes about what you see and
hear. Note any examples or evidence to support answers to the questions.

How are students involved in the lesson?
What is the extent of student involvement?
I liked how right from the beginning, they were being
engaged and asked questions!
I like how you let the students know that they were going
to have to respond to multiple questions and how they
should respond.
Were there opportunities for students to
ask questions? What kinds of questions
were they asking?
How did the teacher help students make connections to
what they were learning?
Yes!! Lot's of opportunities for question and response.
Instead of simply telling students what things are, you had
the students tell you what they are. Awesome!
Describe the interaction in the classroom.
Vick had a great report with the students. The listened and
responded to questions.

1. You did so great Vicky! I so enjoyed your lesson. You engaged the students with many
questions but what other ways can you engage the student in teaching besides ask them
questions? Great job!
