Introduction

A finger is a limb of the human body and a type of digit, an organ of
manipulation and sensation found in the hands of humans and other primates.
Normally humans have five digits, the bones of which are termed phalanges, on
each hand. The first digit is the thumb, followed by index finger, middle finger,
ring finger, and little finger or pinky. According to different definitions, the
thumb can be called a finger, or not. Hand and fingers injuries are common in
sports especially in those involving catching, throwing and contact. Most of these
injuries are minor and will respond to a conservative regimen of rest, ice, and
elevation. Injuries that are associated with any deformity or loss of motion
deserve additional consideration including x-rays. This also includes injuries
that do not return to normal (with resolution of pain) in just a couple of days.

Objective

The purpose of this project was to find out the finger conditions and mainly to
provide the management and prevention. Suitability for clinical rehabilitation
were incorporated into the designs.

Problem Statement

There are some problems referring to finger injury were found out in this project
based on the survey, statistic and the data that we collected:
1. The people still lack of knowledge about finger injury.
2. The people not paying much attention about finger injury because they
think that it is not a serious injury and tend to hide their injury to continue
playing.
3. Lack of rehabilitation therapy has been conducted to the athlete or people
who had the finger injury.
4. Lack of finger injury prevention has been imply to lower level of
competition or young athlete.
5. The people still lack of information about the clinical rehabilitation for
finger injury.
6. Lack of strengthening excercise to the fingers.
7. Does not do the prevention before activities.

The following tips may prevent finger, hand, and wrist injuries.

1. Do exercises that strengthen your hand and arm muscles.
2. Learn safe hand and wrist movements to avoid an injury
3. Reduce the speed and force of repetitive movements in activities such as
hammering, typing, knitting, quilting, sweeping, raking, playing racquet
sports, or rowing.
4. Use your whole hand to grasp an object. Gripping with only your thumb
and index finger can stress your wrist.
5. Use safety measures, such as gloves, and follow instructions for the
proper use of hand and power tools.
6. Consider wearing gloves that support the wrist and have vibration-
absorbing padding when working with tools that vibrate.
7. Review your work posture and body mechanics
8. Warm up well and stretch before any activity. Stretch after exercise to
keep hot muscles from shortening and cramping.
9. Use the correct techniques (movements) or positions during activities so
that you do not strain your muscles.
10. Consider taking lessons to learn the proper techniques for sports. Have a
trainer or person who is familiar with sports equipment check your
equipment to see if it is well-suited for your level of ability, body size,
and body strength

Limitation of the study

1- Time - We not enough the time to do the research to the respondent
2- Space - Limitation the space to do the research
3- Information - We just use the information from internet, article and book
only
4- Language barriers- We want to do a research on something that is in a
language which we do not understand and the production of a translator is
not available.
5- Short of the research materials-
