Job overview/What they do (Provide a paragraph description of the job. What would a typical day
on the job look like?): A Human Resources Manager guides and manages the overall provision of
Human Resources services, policies, and programs for a company, or a portion of the Human
Resources function within a large company compared to a small company. The major areas the
Human Resources manager manages include; recruiting and staffing, organizational departmental
planning, performance management and improvement in systems, charitable giving, organization
development and other managements. The Human Resources manager coordinates the
implementation of people-related services, policies, and other programs through Human Resources
staff including current issues about Human Resources and how the are. Human resource managers
oversee the implementation of Human Resources programs and identifying opportunities for
improvement and resolve problems with it currently. They also develop and monitor an annual
budget that includes Human Resources services, employee recognition, sports teams, and
community events support, company philanthropic giving, and benefits administration.

Working conditions (Hours you can expect to work? Risk of injuries? Time of day/time of year?
Indoors/outdoors? Clothing required? Etc): Depending on company and region, hours worked vary
around 7 hours daily and there is no real risks of injury. Shifts can vary between the following; 7 AM
to 5 PM, 11 PM to 8 AM, and 4 PM to 12 AM, which is also dependent on company, but time of day
can be varied and time of year is usually all-year. Clothing required would probably be a normal
office or business attire.

Human Resources manager starts at $60,000 and reaches approximately $147,474 per Salary.com
for a regional Human Resources manager. The lowest 10% of Human Resources managers earned
less than $59,020, and the top of 10% earned more than $173,140 per the Occupational Outlook
Handbook, so the main salary range would appear to be $40,000 - $175,000, the salary earned can
vary by factors such as; industry, region, company size, private/public area of employment, and
market pay ranges based on supply and demand.

in demand for the future because there will most likely always been resources that need to be
managed such as policies and people-related services.

This school interests me because it has a wide variety of different careers based on what I'm
currently taking in school although my main focus is still Human Resources Manager which is within
one of the programs.
