year 2006. There has been lots of action in

Blanket Distribution Drive

AID Delhi organized a fundraising and blanket


distribution drive in January, 2006 in wake of the
death of homeless people on the streets of Delhi
due to severe cold. The drive was spearheaded by
Riputapan.

It was heartening to see a good response to the

There are still around 12 million children in the age


group of 6-14 who are out of school; i.e. only one
out of three children ends up completing 10 years
of education. One of the biggest disappointments
with India’s development has been the primary
education. Our effort at Prayas may be like a drop
in the ocean, but we should be happy – not
complacent - that we have made a beginning. For

primarily meant for children above 10 years of

Anirban has always been a "father figure" for AID
