IB Spanish SL Summer Assignments Seora Vargas

IB SL is an advanced course in which students will enhance their language use and skills through
selected readings, listening and conversational activities. Language B is a language acquisition
course developed at two levelsstandard level (SL) and higher level (HL)for students with some
background in the target language. While acquiring a language, students will explore the culture(s)
connected to it. The focus of these courses is language acquisition and intercultural understanding.

I understand that summers can be busy and I do not expect you to spend hours on these
assignments every week. However, I do expect that you practice your Spanish regularly and
improve your skills over the summer. The due dates are not as important as making sure you do all
of the activities throughout the summer, especially since the assignments are designed to provide
continual use of the language all summer long which in turn will directly impact your performance
in the course.

All assignments will be collected and graded the first week of school.
