Pro-Life Message: The National Vietnam Memorial in Washington DC is a shiny black wall that stretches 492 feet and lists the names of the 58,022 known Americans killed in that war. If such a wall listed the names of the chil- dren killed by abortion since 1973, the wall would be about 60 miles long! The casualties of our wars put together are fewer than the casualties from abortion in a single year. Priests for life.org
Prayer to End Abortion Lord God, I thank you today for the gift of my life, and for the lives of all my brothers and sisters. I know there is nothing that destroys more life than abortion, yet I rejoice that you have conquered death by the Resurrection of Your Son. I am ready to do my part in ending abortion. Today I commit myself Never to be silent, Never to be passive, Never to be forgetful of the unborn. I commit my- self to be active in the pro-life movement, and nev- er to stop defending life until all my brothers and sisters are protected, and our nation once again be- comes a nation with liberty and justice, not just for some, but for all, through Christ our Lord. Amen! Please keep in your prayers: Please pray for: Trish & Joe Fish & Family, Doug Goodheart, Scotty Moore and Family, Carrol Ereaux and family, Chris Petit, Wendy Lamtke, Linda Berg, Doug French, Terry McKeon, Nate Simon, Cissy Adams, Jacob French, Terry Stiles, Kenny Ulrich, Gerry Williams, those from our local area serving in the military, and the Poor Souls in Purgatory. Care & Share 2014 Our Annual Catholic Appeal, Care and Share, is based on the concept of Christian Stewardship. While Care and Share is about the needs of our Church, stewardship is not. Stewardship is about the need God placed within each of us to give. Those who follow Jesus know that everything we have has come through the grace of God. And we are called to use what He has given us in a manner that glorifies Him and brings others to Him and His salvation. Your Care and Share gift will make a world of differ- ence to so many in our diocese! God bless you for your kind and thoughtful support. For information about monthly giving to Care and Share, call the Catholic Foundation of Eastern Mon- tana at 800-332-9998, ext. 138. Mass Intentions As Catholics, we have a long tradition of having Masses celebrated for those we wish to offer up in prayer. The Mass is the ultimate form of prayer, and each Mass is celebrated for an intention. Please consider having Masses celebrated for family and friends on special occasions and anniversaries, as well as those who are in need of prayers. Masses are also encouraged in memory of those loved ones who have died, especially on the anniversaries of their deaths. Contact Fr. Cory for more information! Stewardship To Be a Christian Steward A Summary of the U.S. Bishops' Pastoral Letter on Stewardship "As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God's varied grace" (1 Pt 4:10). What identifies a steward? Safeguarding material and human resources and using them responsibly are one answer; so is generous giving of time, tal- ent, and treasure. But being a Christian steward means more. As Christian stewards, we receive God's gifts gratefully, cultivate them responsibly, share them lovingly in justice with others, and re- turn them with increase to the Lord. Catholic Communication Campaign (CCC)June 01, 2014 The essential mission of the CCC is to contribute to the process of evangelization by fostering ac- tivities in relation to television, radio, internet, and other media, and through special projects of the Catholic press. An annual collection is taken up in the dioceses, which remit 50% of the funds collected to the national office. From these funds, grants are made by the USCCB Subcom- mittee on the Catholic Communication Cam- paign. The remaining portion of the collection is retained by the diocese for use in local communication projects. Thank you for your donation.

A Prayer for Church Unity Almighty and eternal God, You have promised that there will someday be but one fold and one Shep- herd. Hasten that day, we pray You, in Your most merciful kindness and generosity. Pour the light of Your grace into the minds of our non-Catholic friends so that they may see the truth, and fully realize that the truth is one and undivided. Give them also the strength of will needed to follow in the direction of the light You give them. Let us, their neighbors and friends, not be a hin- drance to their conversion by our bad example. Rather let Your goodness be made clear to them by the virtue of our lives. Then may they finally all be brought to You, the Light that enlightens every man who comes into the world. Amen.
