Sometimeswhentrouble,grief,bills,relationshiptroubles,andworriesoftheworldgetyoudown
itmayseemhard(ifnotimpossible)tofindcomfort.Oftenweseekworldlysolutionstofindrelief
andcomfort,suchas,drinking,drugs,food,orotherdistractionsofthisworldwhichmakesit
quitedifficulttofindcomfortfromtheLordsspiritualworld.Thisstudywillhelpyoufindcomfort
andrelieffromourLordandsaviorJesusChristwhosuffered,died,androseagaintosaveus
fromoursins.Reading,studying,andunderstandingGodswordcanhelpyousurviveandthrive
inspiteoftroublesthatyoumustdealwith.Studiesshowthatpeoplearemorelikelytomake
poorchoicesduringtimesoftroubleandgrief,however,theyalsorevealthatpeoplewhogive
theircarestotheLordhavelessstressandcandealwithproblemsheadonratherthanshoving
thembacktoadarkclosetintherecessesofyourmindwheretheywillbeshelvedandstacked
ontopofallofyourpreviousandfutureproblemswhichwillcauseevenmorestress,worry,and
paininthelongrun.Thefirstpartoffindingcomfortistorealizethatyoucannotmakeyourpain
anylessoryourtroublesanylessbycontinuingthewayyouhavebeendoing.Thesecondpart
istogiveyourcarestoGod.TheLordisfullycapableoftakingcareofwhateverailsyoubutHe
cannothelpyouunlessyouletHim,aslongasyoubelievethatHecan,andaslongasyou
realizethatfaithwithoutworks...isdead.
Comfortduringtimesofaffliction
Believeitornot,itisquitetruethatreadingGodswordwhentimesgetroughwillinspireyouto
overcomeyourtroubles.

Thisismycomfortinmyaffliction:forthywordhathquickenedme.Psa.119:50

Quickenmeanstobecomefaster,hurry,activate,stimulate,ortoinspire.Soitstandstoreason
thatreading,hearingortakinginGodswordwillhelpyoubyactivatingcomfortfromtheLordto
easeyoursorrows.
TheScripturesgivesushope
Forwhateverwaswritteninformerdayswaswrittenforourinstruction,thatthroughendurance
andthroughtheencouragementoftheScriptureswemighthavehope.Rom.15:4(ESV)

Forwhatsoeverthingswerewrittenaforetimewerewrittenforourlearning,thatwethrough
patienceandcomfortofthescripturesmighthavehopeRom.15:4

FindingcomfortwithJesus
YoucanfindcomfortwithJesusbycomingtoHimwhenHecalls,andhavingfaiththatHecan
andwillhelpyoujustastheblindmanwhomJesushealedcameandwascomfortedbecause
JesussolvedHisproblemofblindnessbyhealingthemanseyes.

And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying
untohim,Beofgoodcomfort,risehecallsyou.Mark10:49

JesusistheGodofallcomfort
AstheGodofallcomfortJesushasthepowerandstrengthtocomfortyou,solveyourproblems,
andhealyourpains.
