Operating System- software that supports a computers basic functions.
Windows XP-an operating system produced by Microsoft for use on personal computers,
including home and business desktop , laptops and media centers.

Window 7- Windows 7 is an operating system produced by Microsoft for use on personal
computers, including home and business desktops, laptops, netbooks, tablet PCs, and media
center PCs.

Windows 8- Windows 8 is a personal computer operating system developed by Microsoft as part
of Windows NT family of operating systems.

OS X- Released in 2001 by Apple.

OS X Mountain Lion- released by Apple in 2012, was an improved version
of OS X and extremely popular among users.

OS X Maverick- released by Apple in 2013 It focused on battery life and the cloud
system.
Windows Server 2012- a Microsoft release in 2012 it focused heavily on the
Microsoft cloud.

Thunderbolt- a technology that allows high-speed
communication and data exchange between a

Drivers- a program that controls the operation of a
device such as printer or scanner.

Dongle- a device that connects to a computer to allow
access to wireless broadband or use of protected software.

Peripheral- (of a device) able to be attached to and used
with a computer, although not an integral part of it.

USB 2.0- is an external bus that supports data rates.
