development of Visual rts and Design teachers. The Co-President also !or"s in tandem !ith the other

The Co-President provides leadership and coordination of the team and other %&ecutive mem'ers directl#

The Treasurer provides ongoing advice a'out the state of financial affairs in VD% to the e&ecutive and
manages the ongoing financial records of the association*s dealings !ith its mem'ers and e&ternal
companies and organisations.

The VD% Secretar# supports the VD% %&ecutive in recording$ maintaining and safe"eeping all
relevant documents relating to VD% and %&ecutive su'-committee correspondence. The VD%
Secretar# ma# perform such tas"s as minute-ta"ing$ compiling contact lists and emailing mem'ers.

The ssistant Professional Development ,fficer provides leadership in the planning and implementation
of the professional development courses-programs and initiatives under the auspices of the Co-President
Professional Development.

The Conference ,rganiser ,fficer !or"s in tandem !ith the Co-Presidents to design and develop a
relevant$ contemporar# and challenging conference program. The ,fficer is responsi'le for the
management of the nnual Conference Planning Committee and disseminating tas"s for the smooth
running and of the nnual Conference. Tas"s ma# include 'oo"ing venues$ intervie!ing and organising
presenters- "e# note spea"ers and managing catering. The ,fficer !ill !or" across the e&ecutive to
mo'ili.e e&ecutive mem'ers in the support and implantation of the nnual Conference.

Sponsorship )fficer
The Promotions and Sponsorship ,fficer contacts relevant funding 'odies and partners to 'uild strong
relationships that support the intentions of VD% NS+. The officer ensures accurate and accounta'le
measures are ta"en to "eep sponsors accounta'le to ena'le a clear frame!or" that promotes a
professional !or"ing relationship !ith VD%.

)fficer
The /egional Support ,fficer is charged !ith developing VD% NS+s mem'ership 'ase throughout
regional areas of NS+. The# are a contact point for support and advice on curriculum issues and help
!ith 'uilding net!or"s for visual arts teachers !or"ing in remote areas. Throughout the #ear The /egional
Support ,fficer ma# 'e called upon to facilitate a num'er of professional development opportunities held
in regional areas.

Mentorin* )fficer
The 0eadership and 1entoring ,fficer is responsi'le for liaising 'et!een pre-service teachers and the
!ider VD% NS+ mem'ership and e&ecutive to develop greater communication. The position also
provides leadership in the development and implementation of visual art and design education orientated
programs and events that meet the interests of pre-service teachers.

The 2-3 officer promotes 4ualit# visual art education and provides support in visual art for 2-3 teachers
and student teachers$ encourages 2-3 participation and develops relevant professional development
opportunities and resources for 2-3 visual arts educators.

Publications )fficer
The research officer underta"es research into contemporar# issues in NS+ Visual rts %ducation. The
officer also !or"s !ith the VD% NS+ e&ecutive to plan and develop research papers$ proposals and
media releases to disseminate to VD% NS+ mem'ers. The officer also colla'orates !ith the VD%
NS+ e&ecutive to design innovative educational programs and education "its informed '# their research.
"he "eacher
Accreditation )fficer
The Teacher ccreditation ,fficer manages the implementation of registration and accreditation for
VD% NS+ !or"shops$ special pro5ects$ and the VD% NS+ nnual Conference. The officer !or"s

events that promote professional "no!ledge$ practice and commitment.
"he /raphic Desi*n

The 6raphic Design ,fficer manages the visual identit# of VD% NS+$ 'oth online and in the print form.
The# !ill 'e called upon to design promotional material in line !ith VD% NS+s 'rand and must have a
strong understanding of digital design programs$ such as Photoshop$ 7nDesign and 7llustrator.
"he 0ebsite Mana*er
The +e'site ,fficer manages the online profile of the Visual rts and Design %ducators ssociation. The
,fficer is responsi'le for the pu'lication of online information on the official !e'site. This includes the
maintenance of information in the Ne%s section and the access and content for VD% NS+ mem'ers
on the &embers 'esources page.

The Pu'lic /elations ,fficer !or"s as a liaison 'et!een the VD% NS+ e&ecutive and outside parties
to the 'enefit of the VD% NS+ mem'ership. The# !ill 'e called upon to manage the communication
and relationships 'et!een institutions$ associations and or artists in the planning and implementation of
professional development activities or programs designed for the mutual 'enefit of the sta"eholders
involved.
