The Ultimate Summer Experience in Israel

Each summer our eCampers from 20 different countries come together to develop their creative
and tech skills, to explore the wonders of Israeli technology and to make life-long friendships
in our fun-filled program.
Located in a beautiful nature reserve, one of Israel’s finest settings, eCamp is a sleep-away
summer camp that focuses on the growth of campers as individuals and as a family.
Our cutting-edge modular programs and many choices allow each camper to select the
workshops he or she wants and loves, making eCamp compatible and challenging for children
and teens, ages 8-18.
Our warm, caring, family-style atmosphere makes first time campers feel as welcome as
campers who have been coming to eCamp for several years.

summer activities is the basis of the eCamp program.
Regardless of your current level of computer skills,
eCamp provides a customizable experience that will
help you grow personally, Jewishly and as an emerging
Hi-Tech leader.

Design Your Games, Build Your Robot, Create Your Music

In the eWorkshops you’ll find the necessary equipment and
instruction to create three incredible projects that you will bring
home from camp. Choose your three daily workshops in which
you will work on your own projects in an environment that fosters
fun, excitement and creativity. Each group of up to eight campers
is closely instructed by our professional staff to ensure personal
progress – each camper at his or her own pace.

Unplugged Activities
All campers participate daily in social and outdoor activities. You can relax and
enjoy a swim at our magnificent swimming pool, compete and improve your game skills
on the basketball courts, play soccer, ultimate frisbee and more. During evening “Feel
the Breeze” activities you will play capture the flag, make our immediate environment
greener and learn to protect the planet, have fun at a campfire or sing karaoke.

Leadership & Entrepreneurship track for teens

As a “Gigabyte” camper (entering 10th, 11th or 12th grade) you can take our special
leadership and entrepreneurship track and discover your inner entrepreneur. Your team
will invent an innovative new product and go through all the same steps as start-up
companies in the real world.

Trips and special events

Nothing compares to visiting technology companies like Intel® and Google® and
witnessing new technologies in the making. After the visit, we’ll play Laser-Tag in the
woods –- an unforgettable day-trip. Each session of eCamp
includes a Tech Trip for all campers and another Gigabyte
trip only for our oldest campers. Other events include a LAN
party with giant-screen game tournaments, Maccabiah sports
weekend, Israeli start-up shows and more!

eCamp Village
in Aloney Yitzhak
Our eCamp Village has everything a camper could dream of and
more! Aloney Yitzhak is located in a beautiful nature reserve, filled
with old oak trees and colorful wildflowers. It is well known as
one of Israel’s finest settings, situated in the central part of Israel,
close to the town of Caesarea.
Campers live in air-conditioned, A great set of facilities are used daily,
dormitory-style rooms with 3-4 including a magnificent outdoor
campers per room, each provided swimming pool, basketball and
with a private bathroom and tennis courts, Ping-Pong tables, and
shower, and totally furnished. a full-size soccer field.
There is a staff room on each floor Unleash your creativity in the

Safety and security

The village is a gated facility, secured 24/7 and
patrolled by local guards. Both the village and
the camp operate under the supervision of the
Israeli Ministry of Education.

eCamp Basics
A Family Approach
Due to the size and structure of our camp, all campers and
staff become close friends within just a few days. Before
camp, our office team will assist with your specific needs,
help you make travel arrangements, and make sure your
child gets full and personal attention at camp.
Excellent Staff
Counselors instruct workshops and lead camper groups,
while keeping an average ratio of six campers per counselor.
We start training our staff months before camp starts, after
carefully selecting each and every person. Our staff members
are college students and graduates, people who have served
in the Israeli army’s technology units, and experienced camp
counselors, coming mostly from Israel and North America.
Safety and Security
Campers’ safety is our number one priority. The camp is
secured and patrolled 24 hours a day and our medical staff
is readily available at all times.
Program Modularity
Build a summer itinerary that consists of one or multiple
eCamp sessions and add our pre-camp Israel Discovery
trip to extend your experience. Workshops are offered from
beginner level to advanced, from creative digital media to
complex computer programming.

Draw your characters and edit your scene using the most advanced animation
software out there - Adobe® Flash®. Create your full animation for the web and
add interactivity to make your movie pop!
2. 3D Modeling
Take your first step in the virtual reality world and model objects and scenes in 3D
Studio Max®. Add lights, textures and cameras to create simple 3D animations!
3. Digital Comics
Grab a digital pen and start drawing! You will use Adobe® Photoshop® and a Wacom® digital drawing
tablet to draw your original storyboard, and print the finished product.
4. Video Filming
YouTube™ is waiting for your incredible videos! Plan the script, record the action with an
HD camera and learn the basics of Adobe® Premiere® to edit the scenes!
5. Special FX Editing
Use Adobe® After Effects® to create a video clip with amazing effects. Combine
real-world shots with your own imaginary scenes and use the cutting edge hardware

6. Digital Music
The eCamp music studio is where the party begins and you are the DJ! Create your own
tracks using mixing and editing software, and use the special editing keyboard to record
original tunes!
7. Digital Photography
Use digital cameras and explore different settings and modes to take incredible photos. Manage an online
gallery and learn how to do cool things with your pictures!
8. Graphic Design
Use Adobe® Photoshop® to edit, manipulate and apply effects. Your new T-shirt can
have a picture of you and your friends on the other side of the world!

Love playing games? Develop your game-building skills using Game Maker and create your own new action

Ready to take the next step into the gaming world? Take a role in a development team: direct the graphics,
programming, sound-track or story-board, then merge all the pieces together!
•Prerequisite: Casual Games Production 1 (#9) or experience with Game Maker.
11. Game Modding
Create your own Warcraft III® based game! Use the 3D game engine, draw your maps and
characters and set rules to create games with a completely original feel and scenario.
12. Mobile Phone Games
Use cool studio software to design games for mobile phones. Choose characters, environments
and objects and plan the game script and rules!
13. Web Design 1
Get yourself online! Create your own website in HTML and add images, backgrounds and links.
Make your website unique and publish it on the web for everybody to surf!
14. Web Design 2
Upgrade your web design skills with Adobe® Dreamweaver® to develop professional-looking web pages.
Use Photoshop® and Flash® to create unique graphical interface!

15. Dynamic Web Sites
Add programming in PHP to enhance your website with dynamic content! Collect information from users
with forms, protect content with passwords and create web applications.

16. Build a PC
Build your own new PC and take it home after camp. Connect all parts including
motherboard, Intel® CPU, hard drive, memory and a DVD drive. Set your new
computer up for Internet, games and more!
•Ages 13-18 • $220 Lab fee (includes a computer to take home).
17. Build a Game Console
Build a retro console, based on the Fuzebox kit. Solder electronic parts on the circuit board and program the
micro-processor with cool retro-style video games. Take it home and play on your TV!
•Ages 13-18 • $120 Lab fee (includes a console to take home).
18. Robotics
Use the BoeBot® kit to build your own rolling robot! Learn the basics of robotics and program
the robot’s code to define its actions and reactions. Take your Robot home and keep upgrading it after camp!
•Ages 10-18 • $150 Lab fee (includes robot and kit to take home).
19. Programming 101
Your first step into the software industry. Learn the basics of computer programming with Microsoft®
Visual C# language (C-Sharp). Code your first programs and simple computer games!
20. C++ Programming
Upgrade your coding skills. Dive into the world of C++ and learn the basics of object-oriented programming.
Use arrays, types and classes to develop even more complicated programs!

21. Phone Apps Development
Start programming simple apps and games for the most advanced Google® Android phones. Code in Java,
run the programs on the phone and share them with friends!

Israel is well known worldwide for its revolutionary Hi-Tech industry. Technology giants such as Microsoft,
IBM, Intel, Google and many more have utilized the enormous potential of Israel’s creative and innovative people.
This success story has been inspiring us since the first summer of eCamp.

Summer 2009 was amazing!

Over 200 campers aged 8-18, from 20 different countries, had another incredible summer experience.
Take a look at what we did! We:
• invented, designed and created our own technological projects in the eWorkshops.
• explored Israeli technology by meeting influential Israeli inventors and visiting world leading technology
centers such as Intel and Google.
• played Wii games, Guitar Hero, DDR on the PlayStation & Xbox360 in the console zone room.
• enjoyed day trips, played laser-tag and participated in challenging high-ropes activities.
• partied at a special LAN party and had a good time around the campfire.
• went swimming in the magnificent swimming pool and played together on the basketball and tennis courts.
• dressed in white and celebrated Kabalat Shabbat together.
• visited Jerusalem, Tel Aviv and the Dead Sea on the pre-camp trip and in between sessions.

It’s worth to be a teen in eCamp!
The Gigabyte age group - senior eCampers, entering 10th, 11th and 12th grades, get more out
of their summer. eCamp offers special programs that are designed specifically for our
high-school age campers.

Leadership & Entrepreneurship track for teens

Have you ever had an idea you wanted to make into reality? Have you ever thought that your
idea could be the greatest invention since the iPhone?
eCamp has a special track dedicated to helping you take your innovative ideas to the next
level.
As a “Gigabyte” camper you can take our special leadership and entrepreneurship track and
discover your inner entrepreneur. Your team will invent a new product and go through all the
same steps as start-up companies in the real world do.
And who knows… maybe this track will help you invent the next world-famous product.

Extra field trip:

Gigabytes are the only campers who get an extra field trip per session. You will visit the offices
of Google Israel, experience the work environment and speak with some of the top engineers in
the Israeli Hi-Tech industry.
The trip continues to some of the finest technological units in the Israeli military or higher
education institution. In the past, our campers have visited Israeli Air-Force and Navy bases,
and learned how technology is used to defend Israel.

The future generation of eCamp counselors:

eCamp is a family, it’s a place you return to every summer and it doesn’t have to end when you
stop being a camper.
Our returning Gigabyte campers can participate in a unique CIT program (counselors in training).
In this quality program you will be trained to become a leader in the camp. You will play an active
role in leading eCamp’s daily programming and perhaps become part of our staff in the future.

• The $200 registration fee is non-refundable after February 1st, 2010.

• All payments are refundable, except for the registration fee, until 45 days before program start date.
• Change of session is free until 30 days before program start date. Late changes carry a $70 fee.
• All payments are due 45 days before program start date. Late payment carries a $70 fee.
• Late Registration fee of $70 will be applied when registering within 14 days of the program start date.
• Prices do not include airfare.
• Airport pick-up and drop-off services are $75 each direction.Pick-up service for the Pre-session trips is
