BASIC RULES & REGULATIONS
UNIFORM
♦ Basic Uniform is provided
♦ Cheerleaders are responsible for maintaining the uniform (consisting of boots,
shorts, blouse, vest, pom pons, warm-ups, traveling outfits, jackets and show group
costumes.) Uniform must be kept clean at all times. Replacement cost of articles lost
or damaged must be paid by the Cheerleader.
♦ All uniforms and property must be turned in before the 2010 Final Auditions - date
to be determined by the Director.

REHEARSALS
♦ There will be rehearsals every Thursday evening before the season begins. You
are expected to attend ALL rehearsals.
♦ Once the season begins, there will be a set schedule of rehearsals.
♦ All rehearsals are scheduled in the evenings
♦ Any girl missing a rehearsal prior to a game or show will not be allowed to perform
at that game or show.
♦ Any Show Group member missing two shows without an acceptable reason will be
released from Show Group.
♦ CANDIDATES WHO DO NOT FEEL THEY CAN ATTEND ALL REHEARSALS
SHOULD NOT CONTEMPLATE BEING AN IOWA BASKETBALL EXPOSURE LEAGUE
CHEERLEADER.
♦ Rehearsal dress code will be strictly enforced.

COMPENSATION
♦ Cheerleaders will not receive monetary compensation for performing with the Iowa
Basketball Exposure League.
♦ Cheerleaders will receive (free? reduced?) tanning, hair, nail, make-up, gym
membership, spa.

PERSONAL APPEARANCE
♦ The IBELC uniform is not forgiving and performance requirements are frequently
strenuous. Therefore, Cheerleaders must maintain a high level of physical fitness
appropriate to these requirements. Individuals not doing so are warned, then put on
non-performing status, and finally terminated from the squad.
♦ Smoking IS NOT allowed in uniform or during Cheerleader functions.
♦ With the exception of small stud earrings, no jewelry is to be worn with the
uniform.
♦ No piece of the uniform or IBELC property may be worn any place except when and
where it is approved by the Iowa Basketball Exposure League Cheerleaders office.

GENERAL
♦ Cheerleaders must be at home games up to three hours prior to start of game.
♦ All Cheerleaders participate in all Iowa Basketball Exposure League home games
and any Iowa Basketball Exposure League home playoff games
♦ If you are selected, you must have reliable transportation and be in attendance to
all Iowa Basketball Exposure League games.

A COMPLETE IBEL CHEERLEADER AUDITION REGISTRATION REQUIRES

IOWA BASKETBALL EXPOSURE LEAGUE CHEERLEADERS “WAIVER AND

RELEASE”

The undersigned requests that he or she be allowed to demonstrate her skill and ability as a contestant
during the auditions for the Iowa Basketball Exposure League Cheerleaders. In consideration of being afforded
such opportunity, the undersigned hereby assumes the risk of injury inherent in such activity and waives any
claim for damages against the Iowa Basketball Exposure League Cheerleaders’ organization, Lasting
Impressions, Iowa Basketball Exposure League, any and all Audition Venue(s), and personnel for any injuries
that may be sustained by the undersigned during such demonstration.
 In recognition of the media coverage of the Iowa Basketball Exposure League Cheerleaders (IBELC)
and applicants thereto, the undersigned grants the IBELC and its licensees his or her permission and authority
to use his or her name, voice, picture, and likeness in connection with any and all publications, media
broadcasts, promotional photographs, promotional posters, commercial products, including but not limited to
calendars, team pictures, T-shirts, and any other commercial items.

In further consideration of IBELC allowing the undersigned to audition for IBELC, and in the event the
undersigned is offered employment to become a member of IBELC, she hereby understands and agrees that as
a condition of employment, he or she must sign the standard IBELC Agreement and provide written
authorization under the Fair Credit Reporting Act for IBELC to conduct a background check.

The undersigned understands and agrees that IBELC and/or it’s authorized agents may conduct one or
more background checks to obtain information about her current and past employment, education, activities,
character, reputation, personal characteristics (including age), and mode of living, including, but not limited to,
academic, residential, achievement, performance, conduct, disciplinary, attendance, criminal, credit and driving
records, from various federal, state, and local governmental, law enforcement, and motor vehicle agencies,
consumer reporting agencies, previous employers, schools, companies, corporations, partnerships, and other
entities or persons. This information will be used to evaluate the undersigned as an applicant for employment
and, if hired, for any other employment purpose. The undersigned further authorizes any person, entity or
agency contacted by IBELC or its authorized agents to furnish the above-mentioned information. If a
background check reveals that the undersigned has provided inaccurate information or omitted information on
the IBELC application, then it may result in the rejection of her application or, if already employed, in the
termination of her employment.

The undersigned recognizes and understands that she may be drug tested with or without warning and
will be released from the squad – if positive results occur.

GUEST/PERFORMER RELEASE
This release is made to allow Lasting Impressions Events Management & Consulting and its successors, licensees and
assigns (collectively “Company”) to include INSERT YOUR NAME HERE X
(“me” or “I”) as a guest performer in a production and/or
publication tentatively entitled Iowa Basketball Exposure League Cheerleaders: “Road to Greatness” (the "Programming). I
am giving this release in consideration for Company allowing me to participate as a guest performer in the Programming
and I recognize that my signature on this release is a condition of Company permitting me to be a guest on or a performer in
the Programming or both. I agree that Company may tape and photograph me and record my voice and conversation
including quotes, paraphrases, sounds, and any performance of musical composition(s), for use in and in connection with
the Programming (the "Performance"). I also understand and agree that this Programming is a non-guild production and
there will be no residual or any other type of payment due in connection with my Performance. Notwithstanding anything to
the contrary contained herein, to the extent that I am rendering any musical performances in connection with the
Programming and I am currently a party to an exclusive recording agreement in effect with a record company with which
Company (and/or any of its affiliates) has negotiated certain terms and conditions that are applicable to any such musical
performances, this release shall be subject to such applicable terms and conditions, unless otherwise authorized by the
Record Company. In the event of a conflict between the terms of this release and the terms of any agreement between
Company (and/or any of its affiliates) and my Record Company, the terms of the agreement between Company (and/or any
of its affiliates) and my Record Company shall control.
I agree that Company shall be the exclusive owner of all copyright and other rights in and to the Programming, the
Performance, and any excerpts therefrom, and will be able to use them forever and throughout the world, and to license
others to use them, in any manner Company wishes and in any and all media now known or hereafter discovered or
developed. Notwithstanding the prior sentence, Company shall not commercially release any audio or audiovisual products
intended for home consumer use which embody any performance of musical compositions in the Performance, without
Company obtaining any necessary approvals that may be required by my Record Company, if applicable.
I further irrevocably agree that Company may use and license others to use my name, voice, likeness and any biographical
facts which may have been provided to Company, in connection with the Programming, and for advertising, publicity,
marketing, promotional and commercial tie-in purposes in connection with the Programming and/or any other works based
upon the Programming, all allied ancillary and subsidiary rights therein and thereto (including, without limitation,
merchandising and commercial tie-in rights), or any other use of the Programming, as well as in or in connection with
promotional materials for Lasting Impressions Events Management & Consulting, Iowa Basketball Exposure League, affiliates
and sponsors and for the institutional purposes of the cable industry generally, in all media now known or hereafter devised.
I confirm that, to the best of my knowledge any statements made by me during the Performance will be true and will not
violate or infringe upon any third party's rights.
I agree that, at no cost to Company, I have secured, or will secure (and/or will arrange with any respective publisher and/or
third party owner to secure) all rights, including, without limitation, synchronization rights necessary for Company to use
any musical composition(s) written, co-written and/or performed by me that is contained within the Programming, to the
extent that I control such rights. Notwithstanding the foregoing, nothing in this release shall affect my right, or the right of
any authorized publisher or co-writer, to collect public performance royalties.
Complete only for hazardous activity:
I am volunteering to engage in the following activity (ies) in connection with the Programming scheduled to take

acknowledge and fully understand that the foregoing is/are hazardous activity (ies).

I represent and warrant that all information I am providing to Company on this release is valid, true and accurate, and that I
have (or will concurrently provide) to Company a legible photocopy of my valid driver’s license, passport or other acceptable
government-issued photo identification for Company’s verification and record-keeping purposes.Company shall be
entitled to assign all or a portion of the rights and licenses granted herein and shall be entitled to assign this release in its
entirety to any entity or individual without restrictions. This release is binding upon and shall inure to the benefit of the
respective licensees, successors, and assigns of the parties hereto. I hereby agree not to sue and irrevocably and
unconditionally release, waive and forever discharge Company, its past, present and future parents, subsidiaries (whether or
not wholly-owned), affiliates, divisions, agents, representatives, employees, successors and assigns, jointly and individually
(hereinafter collectively referred to as “Releasees”), from any and all manner of liabilities, claims and demands of any kind
or nature, whatsoever, in law or equity, whether known or unknown, which I (or my assigns, agents and/or representatives)
ever had, now has, or in the future may have against the Releasees, including, but not limited to claims arising out of or
related to the uses described herein, the Event, the Programming, the Performance, and/or my decision to perform the
Event. I further agree that I shall be liable for any attorneys’ fees and costs incurred by Company in connection with any
claim or lawsuit brought in violation of this agreement. In no event shall I have the right to enjoin the development,
production or distribution or exploitation of the Programming. Company may transfer and assign this agreement or all or
any of its rights or privileges hereunder to any entity or individual without restriction. This release shall be binding on all of
my successors-in-interest and heirs. This agreement sets forth the entire agreement between us with respect to the subject
matter hereof and may not be altered or amended except in writing signed by both parties. This agreement shall be
governed by the laws of the State of Iowa. The parties hereto agree to submit to jurisdiction in the State of Iowa.

photographs (the "Photographs") in the show tentatively entitled "Iowa Basketball Exposure
League Cheerleaders: Road to Greatness (the "Production") produced by Lasting Impressions
Events Management & Consulting ("Production Co."). PRODUCTION CO., its licensees,
successors and/or assigns shall have the right to exhibit, transmit and distribute the Production in
all markets and media throughout the world, in perpetuity and shall have the right to include the
Photograph in the advertising and promotion of the Production. The undersigned acknowledges
that PRODUCTION CO. may use the Photograph in accordance with the permission granted herein
without any payment to the undersigned or any third party.

The undersigned represents and warrants that it is the sole proprietor of all rights in and to

PRODUCTION CO., herein; that it has obtained all rights, consents and permissions,
