Dear Old Girls,

As you celebrate your homecoming in this
Year of Faith, with you I rejoice and share in
grateful remembrance, for the gift of the
Assumption and the blessings and wonders that its
transformative education has brought to your
Iives.
You have chosen Infinitas as your theme for
this year's celebration. In the realities that
confront us today, the call to remain faithful to
what you have learned and believed (z Tm
3:r4a)
is
indeed apt and necessary. Your homes, careers,
organizations, and ministries that you find
yourselves in, are spaceswith which you are
invited to live, concretize and make present the
values you have imbibed and the lessons that you
have learned from your beloved Assumption -
fidetity
to duty, love of truth and simplicity, sense of
communion and solidarity, and
faith
thatflow< lnto
action.
My prayer and hope is that you rema,i:
steadfast and continue to light up the world with
what has been handed over to you
-
for your
children, your children's children, and the
generations that are yet to come.
Let us walk the path to Life that God has
Iaid out for us: ONE ASSUMPTION. One Faith.
One Hope. One Love.
ln God who is faithful and loving
Congratulations to all our zot3
jubilarians
and a warm
welcome to Old Girls' Day, our annual day of bringing out
our red plaids, reminiscing our school years, bonding with
long lost classmates, visiting our purple nuns, looking
back at treasured memories and giving back something
of ourselves to our dear AIma Mater.
There can be no better time for this yearrs theme
"lnfinitasft,
the batch motto of HS 88, our silver
jubilarians.
No boundaries, no borders..... bringing to life
the very essence of Assumption Together, the way of life
in the family of the Religious of the Assumption
throughout the world, where lay and religious work
together, in communion amidst all our diversities, to
exiend the reign of God through the spirituality of our
Mother Foundress, St Marie Eugenie.
We invite all our alumnae to come back and be part of the
work in our new shared vision in the Philippines- Thailand
Province
--
"One Assumption: Authentic Witnesses of
Dynamic Faith to the Young". Our mission carries new
ways of transr:"rittiirg the faith as we continue our work in
transforming aur societies; best practices of our various
communities in providing common formation programs;
unique responses to the global concerns on peace,
ecology and migration; and measures to improve the
quality of our community life by humanizing
relationships.
There are indeed many ways we can make our Old Cirls'
Day a continuing spark of
"lnfinitas",
keeping alive the
passion for excellence our transformative education im-
bibed us with, bringing to action our faith and common
desire for communion.
