Two of the most important things to me are family and

friends. With an eclectic group of people and their tastes

(young and old, American and Asian, traditional and
modern) dining out has always been a bit of a challenge.
Finding a restaurant that has all the elements—great
food and family friendly—is not an easy task.

Like many second generation Chinese-Americans, I grew

up in my parents’ restaurant. From an early age, I have
lived and breathed the restaurant business. When my
father retired, he left the family business in my care. So,
I decided to open a new restaurant that my family and I
could enjoy with our friends. Kogen’s is contemporary
and fun, unique and family friendly. Kogen’s is for the
young and the old, for the sushi nut and the newbie,
for those seeking comfort food and those seeking to
explore a new cuisine.

So come as you are. Hang out with your friends. Bring

your kids and make a big mess (but not too big). Eat
fresh sushi alongside ketchup fried rice. Try some sake,
a Thai iced tea, or a volcano. No matter if this is your
