Nothing is certain unless it is achieved (CSS- 2014)

The proposition means that it is achievement alone that makes a thing certain. In the absence of
achievement, things by and large, remain uncertain. Hence, to create certainty one should strive hard
to achieve something substantial in life.
Those who dream about things, live in a world of imagination. The dreamy world is the most
uncertain, is does not suit men of action. In the practical world actions should speak louder than
words. It is through constant labour and struggle that man can achieve something in life.
Achievement is real, while mere wishes are like shadows. It is no use to chase shadows in life.
Shadows are shadows, a reflection of delusion.
Politicians often talk in an imaginative vein. Their talk is often segregated from realities. There are
tall claims of the government to overcome gas and electric load shedding very soon. When shortage
of electric power is overcome, it would be a solid achievement on the part of the government. When
every Tom, Dick and Harry has an access to electricity, that would be an ominous day in the history
of Pakistan.
It is difficult to achieve exact targets both at individual and at collective level. Things are not
achieved in a half-hearted manner. It requires ones hearts blood to achieve ones objective in life.
One has to struggle hard to give a practical shape to ones ambition, goal In life. A nation may
formulate an ambitious plan, whose targets are not within easy reach. Such a plan may not be able to
achieve the laid down targets. Even if half of the targets are achieved that would mean something. In
a nutshell, it is achievement that imparts a touch of certainty to things, which otherwise are to remain
clothed in uncertainty.
