ASSIGNMENT 1

INTRODUCTION:
This assignment is designed to test on the understanding of students in the recording of the business
transactions using the double entry system under the book of prime entry format.

INSTRUCTIONS:
Assuming you are planning to set up a business selling goods (name your product) to customer in Klang
Valley area.
Create possible business transactions between your business and supplier and also between your
business and customers.

The business transactions should include at least:
i) 4 credit transactions
ii) 2 returns transactions
iii) 4 cash transactions
iv) 2 drawing transactions
v) Other transactions such as expenses and revenues

After the creation of the above transactions, you are required to:
i) Write an appropriate journal entries
ii) Prepare an appropriate ledgers account
iii) Prepare a Trial Balance as at that date.

Friendly reminder:
i) You should introduce your business background (including capital contributed, name of
business, address, type of goods sold,etc) in your assignment.
ii) Each student should produce their own business transactions and should not similar to the
other student. If found similar or exactly the same with the other students, both will be
penalized.
iii) The assignment should be in your own handwriting.
iv) Used the assignment cover (assignment information sheet) provided and put on the front
page of your assignment upon submission.
v) The last date for submission is on 24 OCTOBER 2013 .
