1. background
our business plans own by the name of Dessie paper egg try company This company establish
for 2011 G.c in Dessie town to produce paper egg try, paper trey, paper shopping bag products
from the waste paper materials
Products: Paper egg trays are industrial products used for holding eggs in poultry farms and in
places where eggs are sold or stored. Shopping bags are industrial products used to holding
different shopping materials in shopping place where sold different shopping goods, paper caps
are used to drin water in different company, organi!ations. They are also used as containers
for ice creams and sweets. "gg trays, shopping bags, paper caps and containers ice crams and
sweets made from waste paper are usually cheap and light which mae them economical to be
used by poultry farmers, merchants, organi!ation and company. They are also used as containers
for ice creams and sweets. The demand for paper cups, egg trays and bags are met both from
local production and imports. #ut demand for the product is still $ery high because of the
increased number of usages.
%ur company produced different si!e of paper caps, shopping bag, egg trey and ic&cream and
sweet food containers
1.1 Market Potential: hen rising is one main income generating acti$ity in the mi'ed farming
system of the (mhara rural economy. )t is $ery common in the (mhara region to see women
carrying eggs to be sold in the small urban centers located in e$ery part of the region. #ut since
there are no con$enient household goods for holding eggs safely, eggs are broen which being
taen to maret places. This causes loss of income for many rural families. hen rising is also
practiced in the urban centers of the regions and lac of a con$enient egg holder is also a
problem in the urban areas. Poultry farming for generating income will e'pand in the region in
the coming years. )ncreasing *uantities of eggs will be produced and supplied to the maret. The
need for a con$enient product that will be used to hold eggs will increase. +or facilitating the
de$elopment of the poultry industry in the region, there is a need to establish a small scale egg
trays producing plant in the region.
Since the plant is assumed to maret its out put outside the region, future demand for egg trays
is pro, ected at national le$el using an estimated annual rate of increase in the demand for eggs.
1
The pro, ected growth in GDP, being about -. per year according to the go$ernment/s fi$e year
plan, it is generally belie$ed that GDP growth implies increase in the income le$els of the
population. +urthermore, middle and high income groups are usually the most liely to benefit
from growth in an economy. Therefore, it can be ,ustified that the real income of people in the
middle and high income groups would increase annually by at least -..

materials and caustic soda these can be obtained from domestic sources.

6. Process and Technolo*y: The waste paper is beaten with a stic and any dust and other
undesired materials are remo$ed. Then the waste paper is cut in to pieces using a cutting
machine which can be operated either manually or electrically. The cut pieces are
transferred to a beater and water is added and then the beater is set in motion. (fter storing
the pulp for some time, 2austic soda is added =if needed5. >ow the pulp is taen to a dilution

fi'ed at the bottom of the wooden $ats. <hen the pulp solution is stirred well, the bottom of
the mould is remo$ed. The water in the solution passes the mesh and comes out and the
fibrous material deposit on the mesh e$enly and taes&up the shape of an egg tray. The tray
is then dried along with the wire mesh. The wire mesh is remo$ed from the tray and after
drying the trays are cut in to desired si!es and mareted.

Introduction
1. Business 4dea )nd 7ni8ue 'ellin* Point
%ur #usiness plan is a process to con$ert used paper to the new, re&useable paper and chnged to
strong and reusable paper shoping bag, The process is nown as Paper 4ecycling. %ur business
will help the paper industry to fulfil the rapidly increasing demand of paper products. Due to the
inability for paper industry to meet the demand of paper, country needs to import paper from
abroad. Due to this demand&supply gap, prices of paper products are increasing day by day. %ur
business plan will not only decrease the import bill of the country but also will decrease the price
of paper products which will increase the purchasing power of the indi$iduals and hence it will
increase their welfare.
2. )mplementation Plan
)n the initial stages, we will start with the establishment of small scale firm
.
with support of Go$ernment in order to sustain in case of initial losses. <e/ll try to
capture the maret by different means of mareting . <hen our product captures target
proportion of maret, we/ll then plan for the e'tension of the firm, either by e'panding the plant
si!e in the same area or installation of new plant on new piece of land.
3. Baret %pportunity
Despite minor fluctuations in the consumption of paper o$er the years, it is showing an
increasing trend. we can predict that in future this demand will be increasing, as a result
production capacities will be needed to be increased to meet the world demand.
)ntroduction
%ur #usiness plan is to (ssemble computers and photocopyer in the (mhar rgion Dessie town
2omputers and Photocopiers ha$e become indispensable office e*uipment since the beginning of
the 1::0/s. This e*uipment has occupy the offices, the class&rooms, the libraries etc. of
practically e$ery part of the world. Today it has almost become impossible do any thing of an
office without a computer and e$en a photocopier. 2omputers ha$e also become part of
household fi'tures in many countries.
Market Potential: So far our country is one of the least computeri!ed countries in the world. )t
has one of the lowest per capita ownership of computers. )t is also one of the least connected to
the global information super highway. #ut the le$el of computer use has increased during the last
fi$e years? and the use of this machine is increasing at an increasing rate. "$ery year tens of
1/
thousands of computers are either being imported or assembled here at home. #ut there is a long&
way to go. )f we assume that at least 18 percent of the families of the country should ha$e one
computer each, the total demand for the machine by households will be about 2.3 million units.
(nd this figure will increase as more and more families want to own computers. This, added to
the demand by schools, offices and other institutions will boost the aggregate demand for
computers and photocopiers.

The (mhara 4egion with about 2- percent of the population of the country may
constitute at least 20&28 percent of the demand for computers by the household sector.
2ompared to some other regions of the country, the schools of the 4egion are not
pro$ided with the minimum computer re*uirement. <hen this problem is addressed
properly, the school system of the 4egion may absorb thousands of computers.
Preliminary potential demand estimates of computers by the $arious users of the 4egion
put the figure at about 800,000 units. "$en if we reduce this figure by 80 percent, the
demand for computers in the 4egion will be around 280, 000 i.e 0.012 computer per
inhabitant of the 4egion. "$en this conser$ati$e demand estimate will ,ustify computer
and photocopier assembly plant in the 4egion.

3. 'ource of .a6 Material: The parts and components of the machines will be
imported.

6. Process and Technolo*y0 Process of an assembly operation is simply the fi'ing,
,oining, ri$eting connecting of parts and components and the final testing of the product.
Technology refers to tools, instruments and implements used for the assembly wor.

8. (stimated 4n%estment: Ba,or in$estment is for building assembly halls and stores
