Substrate preparation
All substrates must be clean, dry and free from
contamination i.e. dust, dirt, oil, laitance, curing compounds
and other contaminants.
The substrate should be capable of accepting a resin finish
and this is best achieved by mechanical means (shot
blasting, planning or diamond grinding) although this may
not always be possible due to the size and shape of the
area to be repaired.
If surface preparation is not practical, please complete a
bond test to check whether strong adhesion can be
achieved.
The substrate should be primed using Degafloor 112
primer applied at approx. 0.4 kg per square metre.
When priming ensure any edges are also primed.







Degaset

Mortar and Screed



Description
Based on advanced fast curing resin technology, Degafloor Degaset
TM
has been developed as a low cost, high strength repair
mortar and underlay screed. The unique formulation of the product allows slump free placement and the consistency enables
the product to be shaped to create ramps, falls and to complete the most complex of repairs.
Degaset
TM
can also be bulked out with a range of natural quartz sizes to fill holes of up to 300mm in depth in a single layer. It
can also be pigmented to create a lightly textured final finish (seal coats can be applied to enhance the finish and maximise
performance characteristics).

Cure times
Degafloor Degaset
TM
cures fully within just 1 hour of
installation (both chemically and physically).
The cure time remains unaffected at temperatures down
to 5C.

Chemical resistance
Excellent chemical resistance to acids, fuels, oils,
alkalines, salts, cleaning agents and foodstuffs.

Storage
Store below 25C and protect against direct sunlight. For
use in temperatures below 15C the resin must be
thoroughly stirred to ensure the texture is consistent and
clump free before application.

is created by mixing a 1.2 kg unit of resin with
a 15 kg bag of filler, activator and additives.

Installation thickness range
Degaset
TM
can be installed from a minimum thickness of
5 mm to a maximum thickness of 300 mm. For
thicknesses greater than 8 mm, it is recommended to use
bulking aggregates to achieve greater cost effectiveness.
