Dear Friends of the MMCI Community,
MMCI (Monocacy Montessori Communities, Inc.) would like to invite
your company to become a sponsor for the 2014 MMCI Run for
School Choice 5K, to be held on November 8th, 2014. MMCI is a
not-for-proft organization that holds the charter to our two Frederick
County public Montessori charter schools- Carroll Creek Montessori
and Monocacy Valley Montessori. We work to provide educational
choice in our community, to strengthen learning opportunities for
children, and to provide enrichment programming to help each child
grow into his or her potential. Our schools are open to all Frederick
county children, and begin with Pre-K at age 3, and culminate in the
the 8th grade.
We do many things for the MMCI community- from providing an
opportunity for parents to be deeply involved in the governance of
our schools, ensuring appropriate school buildings, and offering
services such as enrichment programming and summer camps. We
are especially proud of the quality Montessori programs both our
schools offer as well as the unique Dual Language and Spanish-
enrichment programs at Carroll Creek Montessori.
We anticipate that the frst annual MMCI Run for School Choice 5k
will become one of our largest fundraisers, and our goal-with your
help- is to raise $15,000 for the work we do for children and families.
MMCI has been in existence for over 10 years providing Frederick
County with school choice as well as being responsible for opening
the frst charter school in the state of Maryland.
