Last year was a wonderful show season with an increase in members and show entries.
This years prize list and schedule has been improved to beter serve our members. We have changed some of our pricing and added more training level classes. We also have a more efcient schedule this season with all bronze classes on one day and all silver hunter classes on another. We will once again, look forward to hostng our second annual Hunter Derby, which was a great success last year.
The South East Zone strives to contnue to provide a supportve, friendly and compettve show environment for all members. She likes to say, "I help people build powerful rela- tonships with their horses. When you have a relatonship with your horse, your horse will perform beter for you". Laura brings her expertse from her 25+ years as a Senior Equine Canada Judge, Coach 2 (Hunter/Jumper), author ( 20+ Exercises to Improve Your Riding Positon) and Recorded Steward to assist her clients and stu- dents. Heidi Meuller has been a r Sta- tus Hunter/Jumper/Hack/Equitaton judge since 2003 and a EC Level 2 coach since 2004. She currently owns Rushmount Equine Sports Ltd. with Mikael McCahon and is training with Beth Underhill. Heidi has also competed as a Professional Arm Wrestler with Team Canada since 1998. Grits McMullen has been a Sen- ior Judge for the last 31 years and has judged in Newfoundland, Nova Scota, Quebec, Ontario and right down through Georgia, U.S.A. She owns Sunset Farms in Sttsville, On- tario with her husband, Tim McMul- len, has her Internatonal Passport for Coaching and has trained many young riders and horses in the past 35 years. Grits has been afliated with the Otawa Valley Hunt since 1973 and is currently a Joint Mas- ter. She contnues to breed and pro- duce quality Sport Horses for the show ring, event world, hunt feld and pleasure. Susan Evans has been around horses/ponies since she was 8 years old and says the love never goes away. I started competng when I was around 10 or so, just in local events around our area. I started judging schooling shows in 2002 and worked very hard with numerous judges to achieve my r status to judge the Silver and Bronze shows. I enjoy judging and stewarding very much and especially enjoy watching the development and progress of the younger children staring in the short strrup division and working their way up to the junior/childrens divi- sions. Gay-Ellen Dennis was raised in Ontario on a dairy farm, along with sheep, draf horses and a few riding horses. A love for ponies and jump- ing led her to a lifetme of riding show hunters. She was very success- ful in equitaton and hunters, quali- fying and competng successfully at the Royal Winter Fair. Gay-Ellen holds Senior Judging cards in hunters, hack, equitaton and jumpers. She has judged in Bermuda and across Canada. She currently lives on the Bruce Peninsula on the shores of Georgian Bay.
Judy Masson has been judging for over 10 years at the Trillium level and has judged in all of the zones at one tme or another. She is a horse owner of wonderful OTTB'S and runs a retrement farm. Both of her daughters are stll showing in their adult lives. Jody Thomlinson has been an actve hunter jumper compettor for over 30 years. She has competed at the RAWF Natonal Finals in the both Ad Amateur and Am Owner divi- sions. Judging hunters is something she truly enjoys and has been doing since 2009.
Susan Legge is a Senior Equine Canada Judge and Senior Natonal Steward. She has been working across Canada as an E.C. Ofcial for over ten years. Susan shows her own horses as an amateur in the hunter and jumper divisions, primar- ily on the Natonal Circuit.

SILVER JUMPER DIVISION FEE: $60.00 All Silver Rated Jumper Divisions (with the excepton of the Jumper Medal) will consist of two Table A (Artcle 238 AM5) and one Table A Speed (Artcle 238 AM5) 0.90m Jumper Open to all riders. Standing martngales allowed but Ger- man martngales and draw reins are prohibited. 1.0m Jumper JUNIOR/AMATEUR riders only. One round allowed per horse/rider combinaton. The course in the Clear Round will be the same as the FIRST class of the 0.90m Jumper Division. Courses will contain a maxi- mum of eight obstacles and will contain no combinaton obstacles. Consists of two over fences classes and one under saddle. DIVISION ENTRY FEE: $45.00 Walk / Trot Division Open to BEGINNER RIDERS. No green horses permited. Division consists of 2 fat classes. Riders competng in this division ARE NOT permited to cross-enter into any other division/class other then Crossrail Hunter. Protectve boots, fashes, drop nosebands and martngales are not permited. DIVISION ENTRY FEE: $45.00 Lead Line Class Open to children who have not passed their 10 th birthday as of January 1, 2014. Riders may not cross enter into any other class. Riders and ponies must be led by a capable handler 16 years and older. CLASS FEE: 15.00 Bronze Hunter/Jumper Class Descriptons Year End Banquet A t the end of the show season the South East Trillium Zone holds an end of year awards banquet. Beautful ribbons, prizes and trophies are awarded to all Bronze and Silver division champions, reserve champions with ribbons to sixth place. This year the prizes included embroidered coolers, saddle pads and leather halters with engraved plates. The trophies are engraved with each years winner and the rider gets to keep them for a year before hand- ing them on to the next years winner. Its a wonderful opportunity for all the riders and their families to gather and celebrate in the afer glow of the season. The event last year was held at a local Kingston restaurant and included a meal, cash bar and dancing. It was a very successful evening over with 220 people in atendance! More informaton regarding the 2014 Banquet will be available from the fantastc organizing commitee mid way through the season. A Special thanks goes to all the zone volunteers, the executve commitee and especially the banquet commitee who put hours of work into organiz- ing this special event.
