Foreign Nationals

NRI candidates seeking admission to the concerned courses are required to
compete amongst themselves for the seats for them by appearing in the Entrance Test if they are in
India. If the candidate is not present in India at the time of Entrance Test, then
s/he
shall be
exempted from the Entrance Test. The foreign candidates shall have to comply with visa and other
requirements prescribed by the Govt. of India, U.T. Administration, Chandigarh, and Panjab University,
Chandigarh as prescribed by them from time to time.

Handbook of Information and Rules for Admission-2014 can be obtained from Sale Counter,
Administrative Block (Basement) Panjab University, Chandigarh, on cash payment of Rs. 550/- and





by Post from the Manager:, Publication Bureau, P11., Chandigarh 160 014 against account payee Bank
Draft of Rs.660/- drawn in favour of the Registrar, Panjab University, payable at Chandigarh. (The
Applicants for the 1st year of any course are advised to purchase a copy of Handbook of
Information to acquaint themselves with the Rules and Regulations and other details of the
Course).

Candidates desirous of applying for admission to University teaching departments for the
session 2014-2015 can download admission form from P.U. Website www.puchd.ac.in free of
cost. However, those finally admitted, will be charged Rs.
60/-
as cost of admission form along
with admission fees.

Candidates seeking admission in Sports category shall, along with Admission Form, will submit
following documents to the concerned Department and the concerned Department will send the
photocopy of the application form, after paging all the documents received from the eligible
candidates to Directorate of Sports. The candidates are required to appear for trial in a proper sports
kit along with their original sports certificates on University Grounds as per schedule between
15.07.2014 to 18.07.2014 (For Schedule contact office of the University Director of Physical
Education). Presence of candidate in the field at appointed time is mandatory. No separate
intimation will be sent.

Following documents are needed along with duly filled in prescribed admission form:-
a) Self attested photocopies of sports certificates.
b) Class X, class XII and B.A. DMC showing date of birth.
c) The Affidavit of sports achievements (ANNEXURE-ITI) available in Handbook of Information-
2014 duly attested by a Notary/ Magistrate Class I/TI on a Stamp paper of Rs.
3/-.

d) Roster
Form/
list of players duly attested by the competent authority of concerned
tournament/championship. The photograph of the player should also be pasted on the
certificate duly attested by the competent authority of concerned tournament/ championship.

1. Panjab University shall not take any responsibility for any delay in receipt of application form

3. 10% seats over and above the total number of regular seats in each course are reserved for the
