In our collection Classic models clean lines pro-
vide a stylish and timeless roof. Its appearance
also makes it suitable for different styles of
homes.
The Classic model is identiable by its straight
lines and classical shapes. Thanks to its advanced
fastening technique, it is also quick and easy to
install yourself without special tools. This model
is also suitable for low roof pitches.
You can choose between the Classic S or Classic W
model. Classic W has symmetric ribs between standing
seams. Classic is also available in copper.
The new eaves ashing design now complements
Classic even further, ensuring that the screws fastened
to your eaves remain concealed beneath them.
The Classic model is supplied with the new Matt Pural

Prole sheets
Solar energy is free for you to use. Combining it with oil, wood or electricity is both
economical and ecological. There are many ways of using roofs and faades to harness
solar energy gathered between early spring and late autumn, when it will to amply
supplement your households heating and electricity needs.
Ruukkis energy roong products are an integral part of the Classic model, blending
in so as to be almost unnoticeable.
Solar Electro is based on a thin, solar electricity laminate, added to the surface of the
roong sheet at our plant. This energy roof can supply the electrical needs of holiday
homes and can also be used as a supplementary energy source in family houses.

An energy roof from the
Ruukkis range
The rainwater system completes the roof
as a functional package.
The rainwater system removes rainwater from the roof
effectively. The pre-manufactured parts are dimensionally
accurate, tight and easy to install. They are manufactured
from double sided coated 0.6 mm galvanised steel. Smooth
curves reduce dirt traps. External gutter brackets are stable
and have the advantage of being easy to clean. There are
available in two round ( 125 mm and 150 mm) gutters.
The down pipes for half-round rainwater systems are avail-
able as ready-to-install down pipe package. The gutters
can also be combined with the down pipe package.

Flashings, ventilation pipes and other accessories
Flashings, needed for the nal nishing of the roof, are manufac-
tured from the same materials as the roong sheets. Modern
production methods allow ashings to be made to precise
measurements and with uniform quality, which in turn aids
installation and gives a roof a distinguished look. Standardised
range of ashings speeds up deliveries.
We recommend always using an underlay beneath roong sheets to
prevent condensation. In renovation, the necessity for an underlay
must be assessed on a case-by-case basis. We have developed a
ventilation batten of steel for roong. Its perforated webs improve
the ventilation of space between roong sheets and underlay. The
ventilation batten is supplied to a standard length (3.7 m) and is
compatible with all available roong models. It can be jointed and
overlapped between roof trusses, reducing both installation time
and wastage. Other advantages of the batten are that it is light-
weight, easy to handle, and takes up very little space in transporta-
tion and on site.
Fillers are needed for ridges, hips and valleys of the roof. Beneath
the Classic roong sheets, it is recommended to use sound
insulation bands. While using Classic model a specially-designed
steel ashing is used for the ridge and hip. The new ventilating
ller for hip is suitable with the ridges and hips of all our roong
models. Its greatest advantage is its installation speed, since the
ashing can be installed on both sides of the hip at once.
Self-drilling screws with washers are used to attach roong sheets.
Screws are supplied in matching colours so as to blend in unnotice-
ably with your roof. The effectively designed screws drill into
surfaces effortlessly.
Roof safety products
A roof has to be safe, since although you rarely need to be up there, it must
be also possible to get there and work there without unnecessary risks. Fur-
thermore, roofs require safety features by law. The roof safety products sup-
plied by Ruukki comply with the new regulations and directives concerning
roof safety products as laid down in the F2 Finnish Construction Regulation.
Products are available in colour coated on galvanised steel or just uncoated
galvanised nishes. Ruukkis tile sheets and Classic models have their own
special fasteners for roof bridges and snow stops. The differing shapes and
styles of the roong models have been taken into account in the fasteners.

Matt Polyester
Matt Polyester has good weather and corrosion
resistance. A matt surface is characteristic of this
coating. It is typically used in roong tile sheets.
The matt surface is ideal for holiday homes and
renovations. Matt Polyester comes with a 10-year
warranty.
PVDF
PVDF is especially recommended for demanding
outdoor applications. It has a good resistance to
corrosion and is superbly resistant to fading. PVDF
is recommended for uses where colour durability
and resistance to dirt are important requirements.
PVDF comes with a 15-year warranty.
NEW: Matt Pural
Matt Pural is a non-glossy colour coating developed
specially for roong. Its durability and ease of use are
of the same high class as those of the traditional Pural.
The Matt Pural coating gives a dignied, stylish look to
new buildings, whilst its matt nish also makes it highly
suitable for older buildings in renovation work. It comes
with a 15-year warranty, and is used in the Harmonic and
Classic models.
Pural
Pural is a polyurethane based coating, which is at its best
in roong and cladding sheets. It is easy to handle in the
manufacture and installation of prole sheets. A slightly
structured surface makes it resistant to corrosion by
snow and ice, as well as to UV radiation. Purals character-
istic qualities are its resistance to chemicals and the ease
with which it can be repainted. Pural comes with a 15-year
warranty.
