TEACHING E-PORTFOLIO

MARVIN ADONAY MONTOYA AMAYA


INTRODUCTION
This document has been prepared to showcase the most
relevant events undergone in the professional
development and experience of Marvin Montoya as an
English Teacher. There is a mingle between activities and
tools used through out the years and at different levels,
but that have had a real impact in the students of Mr.
Montoyas classes.
BACKGROUND
Marvin Montoya has graduated as a Bilingual Technician
from Universidad Capitn General Gerardo Barrios in
2011. He has been an English Teacher since 2009, when
he began working at Centro Cultural Salvadoreo
Americano and Academia Internacional. Later on to be
hired as the English Lab Attendant at Universidad
Gerardo Barrios Usulutn, where he is currently and
undergraduate student of the English Bachelors Degree.

Industrialization and
technological revolution have
made the need to build a new
way to teach. Where
technology in the web is used
for teaching and leaning
purposes . A new way to teach
has been born, and the world is
adopting it at the fastest pace.
VLE (Virtual Learning Enviornment)
Through the use of technology,
students have found that
information is no longer hard to
find, and that learning can be self
guided. Students begin to use the
web to their learning advantages.
Making an e library of pages and
websites that provide them with the
necessary information to learn
about a specific topic.
GOOGLE APPS
It is becoming indispensable for
teachers and students as well, to be
familiar of the great advantages that
google apps bring to the teaching
learning process. Access to many
online powerful tools like video
sharing, uploading and editing
documents, blog creator and online
agenda. This should be a must for all
who keep updated.
FACEBOOK
You can not force students out of their
natural environment. Instead we must
fid them in their comfort zone.
Teacher can create class groups on
Facebook and turn it into a teaching
platform rather than just another
social network. On this group the may
share post and interact amongst each
other at practically any time they are
available.
RUBISTAR
A very resourceful tool, when it
comes to assessing speaking or
even writing projects it is
extremely important to
evaluate in the best way.
Rubistar allows teacher to
quickly create great rubrics,
and print out so students are
aware of the categories they
will be assessed in.
