The impact of human activities on the ecosystem

1) Deforestation and the effect

- Forest are cleared to make agriculture and development.
- Forest contain many species of flora and fauna that provide food,
medicine and other biological products.
Cause Source
Soil erosion, landslides and flash
flood
From illegal logging. Sometimes
without proper development and
planning
Loss of biodiversity Loss of habitats of fauna.
The extinction of flora and fauna.
Disrupts the carbon and nitrogen
cycles
By removing the plants in the forest
disrupts the natural cycle. Loss of
nutrients through leaching and runs
off.
Climatic changes Deforestation disrupts the normal
weather. At the same time
greenhouse will lead to global
warming. Lastly it cause air pollution
from the burning of the dry tree.

2) Burning of fossil fuels and its effects.
- Tunggu buku sk
3) Intensive farming and its effects.
- Farmers will use inorganic fertiliser.
- Inorganic fertiliser contains many substances that irritant
- This source will course eutrophication.

Tha greenhouse effect and the thinning of the ozone layer.
The green house.
a. What is green house?
- The green house gases in the troposphere provide thermal
insulation while these gases are considered responsible in causing
ozone depletion in the stratosphere. The depletion of ozone layer
could neutralize some of the warming effect caused by higher
concentration of green house gases.
b. What is the function of the green house?
- A greenhouse has clear walls to trap heat from the sun (radiant
heat) during the day and prevent it from escaping quickly at night.
It is big enough to accommodate both plants and the person or
people who tend the plants, as opposed to hot boxes, which are
only large enough to accommodate plants. Greenhouses may be
attached to another structure to benefit from the heat bank of the
walls of the home. Freestanding greenhouses have more walls
available for the ventilation that is necessary during hot weather.
c. The effect of green house?
- Global warming
- Changes of climate as the changes in wind direction and the
distribution of rainfall
- Spread of disease as the temperature of the world increase
- Cause flood and droughts to increase because of the dried
land and the melt of glaciers.

Thinning of the ozone layer.
A. What is the causes of the thinning of ozone layer?
- Increasing of the chlorofluorocarbon (CFCs) in the
atmosphere.
- CFC are very stable and can stand in the environment for
as long as 75 to 100 years. Once in the stratosphere,
CFC will broken down by ultraviolet rays. As a result the
highly reactive radicals (cl) are released. These cl
