Overview
OSIsofts PI Data Access suite of products supports the implementation of custom
applications on top of the PI System and the integration of PI System data with
external applications, business systems and databases. This allows products such
as Microsoft Offce or SQL Server, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
such as SAP, Business Intelligence (BI) and reporting tools such as IBMCognos,
Web portals and maintenance systems to fully leverage your PI System data. The
PI Data Access suite covers a wide range of use cases in various environments,
using many programming or scripting languages, for a variety of operating systems
and infrastructures.
PI Data Access
Both runtime and development licenses are available for the PI Data Access
products. Development licenses and additional resources are available through
the OSIsoft vCampus program (http:// vCampus.osisoft.com). The PI System
Access (PSA) license enables end-users to use PI System based solutions it is a
runtime license for accessing PI System data using any of the programmatic access
methods licensed through the PSA (including the PI Data Access products).
