Solman 7.

1 Charm operation (Urgent Change)


Prerequisites
1. System Preparation
2. Basic Configuration
3. Managed System Configuration
4. Solman main user should be available in all clients of all server
5. Developer user should be available in Development client, Quality Client
6. Tester user should be available in Quality Client
7. IT Operator user should be available in all clients of all server
8. Change Advisor Board user should be available in Solman Server
9. Quality Advisor Board user should be available in Solman Server
10. Current Processor user Should be available in Solman Server
11. Satellite Server user are having following Rolls, Profiles and Authorisation objects along with
all prerequired authorisation

14. Tcode DNO_CUST04->IB_GEN_AUTO field value Blank
SMSY itself will be updated by the LMDB is this way ensured that the IBase contains updated
information about all managed systems automatically.

15. Create Business Partner(BP) creation by ABAP Report AI_SDK_USER_BP_GEN
16. Tcode BP_GEN ->Add all Systems
a. Choose Requester from Solman Server
b. Choose Reporter from Solman Server
c. Choose Developer from Development client, Quality Client and Solman server
d. Choose Tester from Quality Server and Solman server
e. Choose IT Operator from client, Quality Client and Solman server
f. Choose Change Manager from clients of all server
g. Choose Change Advisor Board from Solman Server
h. Choose Quality Advisor Board from Solman Server
Create BP for above BP Users
17. Create Project By Tcode Solar_Project_Admin
a. Provide Project name,Title,Language(English) and Type(Maintainance Project
b. Goto Landscape Tab-System-Logical Component-SAP ERP-SAP ERP ECC Server-SAP
ERP 6.0 Component
c. Create IMG Project and move Back
d. Activate Change Management and Chect it.
e. Goto Development Server-Tcode se10-Release Project Request number
f. Create Task List,give maintainance Cycle name and goto task list
g. Select Project Track Project name with Development Server
h. Choose Lock/Unlock group Subsequent group
i. Lock/Release Transport Tracks Incl. Role Types.-Execute and select all servers from
left side and continue.
18. Create change Request by CRM_UI Tcode
a. Log in by Reporter
b. Select Change Request manager Tab
c. Click on Create Request for Change
d. Choose Transaction Type ZMCR
e. Remember ID and Provide Description.
f. By default Reporter is displayed in non-modifiable field
g. Type Customer name i.e. Requester name
h. Specify Change Manager and Change Advisory Board
i. Specify Approval Procedure as Change Request Approval Procedure
j. Add Text (Description of Change), then Save
k. Log off
19. CRM_UI and log on as Change Manager
a. Click on Request for Change from Search Section
b. Search Request for Change
c. Select Change Request ID number
d. Click on edit button of Details Assignment Block
e. Select Action Button
f. Choose Check Request for Change, then Save Button
g. Status will be changed from Created to Validation
h. Specify Impact/Emergency as Medium and Low
i. Specify Recomm/Prio/Prio as Medium and Low
j. Specify Project Name by searching Project Name and Risk value as None
k. Goto Change Request Scope Assignment Block and click on edit Button, then
Insert Button
l. Set Urgent Change as value of Change Catagory
m. Set Installed Base By searching(By default one IBASE is available)
n. Now Change Request Scope Assignment Block status field value is To be Approved
o. Goto Action and select Release for Approval and Save button
p. Status will be changed from Validation to To be Approved
q. Log Off
20. CRM_UI and log on as Change Advisory Board (CAB)
a. Click on Request for Change from Left Pane
b. Search Request for Change from search Section
c. Select Change Request ID number
d. Click on edit button of Approval Assignment Block
e. Specify Approved as the value of Activity field
f. Type Approved by CAB as the value of Comments field
g. Click on Save button
h. Status will be changed from To be Approved to Approved
i. Now Change Request Scope Assignment Block status field value is Approved
j. Save and Log off
21. CRM_UI and log on as Change Manager
a. Click on on Request for Change from Left Pane
b. Search Request for Change from search Section
c. Select Change Request ID number
d. Click on edit button of Details Assignment Block
e. Select Action Button
f. Choose Release for Development , then Save Button
g. Status will be changed from Approved to Being Implemented
h. Now Change Request Scope Assignment Blocks status value is converted from
Approved to Created and Object ID value will be generated automatically with a
urgent change request number.
i. Click on this urgent change request number and this will move to urgent change
request window and allow you to specify Developer and Tester field value in Details
Assignment block of it.
j. Set Category
i. Level 1-Service Request
ii. Level 2-SAP Application
iii. Lavel 3-Request for Change
iv. Level 4-Business Process Change
k. Click on Save Button.
l. Click on Back Button
m. Log Off
22. CRM_UI and log on as Change Manager
a. Click on Request for Change from Left Pane
b. Search Urgent Change from left Pane
c. Select Urgent Change Request ID number
d. Now goto Related Transaction Assignment Block
e. Click on Maintainance Cycle ID and move to Maintenance Cycle window
f. Click on edit button of Details Assignment Block
g. Set Change Manager, QAB and CAB value
h. Click on Action Button and choose In Development with Release Phase
i. Click on save Button
j. Now Maintainance Cycle phase move from In Development w/o Release to In
Development with Release Phase
k. Click on save and Back button
l. Now check Current Phase of Related Section of Details Assignment Block of Urgent
Change value is converted from In Development w/o Release to In Development
with Release
m. Save and log off
23. CRM_UI and log on as Developer
a. Click on Request for Change from Left Pane
b. Search Urgent Change from left Pane
c. Select Urgent Change Request ID number
d. Click on edit button of Details Assignment Block
e. Select Action Button
f. Choose In Development , then Save Button
g. Status will be changed from created to In Development
h. Goto Transport Management Assignment Block and click on transport Request
i. Uncheck Customising Request and click on create button
j. Click on save button
k. Goto Transport Management Assignment Block and click on Magnifying lens
symbol to child request number
l. Click on save button
m. Goto Landscape Assignment Block and click on log in symbol to log in development
sap server as developer
n. Create Project by se21 and assign it to generated request number.
o. Create new abap program/report and assign it to above said project and request
number
p. Goto se09 tcode and release child request number of project
q. Exit from development server
24. CRM_UI and log on as Developer
a. Click on Request for Change from Left Pane
b. Search Urgent Change from left Pane
c. Select Urgent Change Request ID number
d. Add Text for Reason for Request
e. Type Develop is completed and released for testing
f. Click on Save
g. Click on edit button of Details Assignment Block
h. Select Action Button
i. Choose Pass Urgent Change to Test , then Save Button
j. Status will be changed from In Development to To be tested
k. Transport Management Assignment block status values change from Changable to
Released
l. Click on save and Log off
25. CRM_UI and log on as Tester
a. Click on Request for Change from Left Pane
b. Search Urgent Change from left Pane
c. Select Urgent Change Request ID number
d. Goto Landscape Assignment block and log in to Quality server and test the abap
report and log of from gui of Quality server.
e. Move to Tester CRM_UI logged window screen
f. Click on edit of details Assignment block
g. Click on Add text for Test Report
h. Click on Action button and choose Confirm Test Success and click on Save button
i. Status will be changed from To be tested to Successfully Tested
j. Log off
26. CRM_UI and log on as Change Manager
a. Click on Request for Change from Left Pane
b. Search Urgent Change from left Pane
c. Select Urgent Change Request ID number
d. Click on edit button of Details Assignment Block
e. Select Action Button
f. Choose Release Urgent change for Production , then Save Button
g. Status will be changed from Successfully Tested to Authorised for Production
h. Log off
27. CRM_UI and log on as IT Operator
a. Click on Request for Change from Left Pane
b. Search Urgent Change from left Pane
c. Select Urgent Change Request ID number
d. Click on edit button of Details Assignment Block
e. Select Action Button
f. Choose Import Urgent change into Production System , then Save Button
g. Status will be changed from Authorised for Production to imported into
Production
h. Log off
28. CRM_UI and log on as Change Manager
a. Click on Request for Change from Left Pane
b. Search Urgent Change from left Pane
c. Select Urgent Change Request ID number
d. Goto Landscape Assignment block and log on to Production server
e. Test the ABAP report and log off from production gui log on
f. Move to urgent change window
g. Click on edit button of Details Assignment Block
h. Select Action Button and choose Confirm Urgent Change and click on save
button
i. Status will be changed from imported into Production to Confirmed
j. Select Action Button and choose Complete Urgent Change and click on save
button
k. It will move to next page complete Task list
l. Click on agree and proceed button
m. Click on agree and proceed button
n. Status will be changed from Confirmed to Complete
