1.0 PURPOSE AN SCOPE
The purpose of this work procedure is to ensure
that all waste generated on site is managed and
disposed of in a manner that will minimize
environmental harm and be in accordance with
applicable regulation and requirements.
This procedure relates to the management of all
wastes generated on site including hazardous
(B3 wastes.

The /uperintendent, with the assistance of
3nvironmental 3ngineer, shall identif! the
wastes produced in their areas of responsibilit!.

4hecklist= shall be used. The 4hecklist shall be
reviewed and updated>

The 3nvironmental 3ngineer shall maintain a
central cop! of current checklist for all the
wastes generated on the site. This list shall
detail those wastes, especiall! wastes that are
considered hazardous.
&.2 WASTE C$ASS"!"CAT"ON
The /uperintendent, with the assistance of the
3nvironmental 3ngineer, shall classif! the
wastes produced on site from their areas of
responsibilit!, as follows>

rubbish, food waste, paper, plastic,
domestic wastes, metal scrap, t!re.
To"ic and hazardous waste (B3 i.e.
7!drocarbon (74 A 74 contaminated
waste, chemical waste, batter! acid, toner.
The table below is Thiess /angatta waste
container color code, generall! referring to the
Prima @irbha!a (BP4 standards to be
implemented in the BP4 area, and thus must be
followed b! Thiess /angatta.
