ABSTRAK

Penyakit ISPA masih merupakan masalah kesehatan yang penting di


Indonesia dengan proporsi kematian 3,8%. Dari survei pendahuluan yang dilakukan
pada pekerja aspal hotmix dan penduduk di kawasan pelabuhan Sabang banyak yang
mengalami keluhan gangguan pernapasan. Pada tahun 2010 kasus ISPA di kawasan
pelabuhan balohan sabang sebesar 2424 kasus.
Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh lingkungan aktivitas produksi
aspal hotmix terhadap syndrome ISPA pada pekerja yaitu: suhu, kelembaban, kadar
debu, APD dan pada penduduk yaitu: suhu, kelembaban, kadar debu, jarak rumah
dengan industri di kawasan Balohan Sabang. menggunakan metode survei dengan
desain Cross Sectional. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan J anuari 2011 J anuari
2012. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah pekerja industri aspal hotmix dan
penduduk di kawasan pelabuhan Balohan Sabang. Sampel terpilih adalah pekerja
sebanyak 30 orang dan penduduk sebanyak 74 orang. Analisis data dengan
menggunakan regresi logitik pada = 0,05.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada pengaruh suhu, kelembaban, kadar debu,
APD, jarak rumah dengan industri pada pekerja dan penduduk terhadap syndrome
ISPA. Variabel paling dominan adalah konsentrasi debu terhadap syndrome ISPA.
Diharapkan bagi perusahaan agar diupayakan sosialisasi tentang kesehatan
kerja dan menerapkan UU tentang keselamatan kerja. Bagi pemerintah diharapkan
melakukan pengawasan melekat tentang kesehatan dan keselamatan kerja di
perusahaan, melakukan penyuluhan kesehatan dan pencegahan paparan debu terhadap
lingkungan pemukiman. Bagi masyarakat agar berupaya secara mandiri
meningkatkan derajat kesehatan.

ABSTRACT


Acute respiratory disease is the most important health problem in Indonesia
with the proportion of death rate of 3.8%. From the preliminary survey conducted to
the hot mix asphalt workers and the residence at Sabang harbor area, it was found
out that many of them were affected by respiratory infection. In 2010 the ISPA
incidents at Balohan Sabang harbor were 2424 cases.
The aim of the research was to analyze the influence of the activity of the hot
mix asphalt factory on the workers affected by Acute Respiratory syndrome:
temperature, moisture, dust content, PPE (Personal Protection Equipment), and on
the residents: temperature, moisture, dust content, and the distance between their
residences and the factories at Balohan Sabang era. The research used a survey
method with cross sectional design. It was conducted from January, 2010 until
January, 2012. The population was all workers at the hot mix asphalt factory and the
residents at Balohan Sabang harbor. 30 Workers and 74 residents were used as the
samples. The data were analyzed by using logistic regression test at = 0.05.
The results of the research showed that temperature, moisture, dust content,
PPE, and the distance between the residences and the factory, and the residents
influenced incident the Acute Respiratory syndrome. The most dominant variable was
the dust concentration on the Acute Respiratory syndrome. It is recommended that the
management of the factory should socialize Occouptional of health and apply the law
on Occouptional of health and safety. The government should control Occouptional
of health and safety tightly in factory, conduct health counseling and the prevention
from dust content to the residents. It is also recommended that the residents should
independently improve their health standard.
