MASTER OF ARTS DEGREE

Global Master of Arts Degree in Educational Leadership

On-Line Program


The University of Central Florida College of Education School of Teaching, Learning and
Leadership is proud to announce the newly created, totally on-line, Master of Arts
Degree Program in Educational Leadership. This Master of Arts Degree is designed
as a global offering to persons who desire a Masters Degree offered totally on-line from
one of the most respected university educational leadership programs in the United
States. Such persons include curators of art centers and museums, directors of zoos
and environmental centers, business human resources administrators, charter and
private school administrators, employees of overseas schools, State Department
employees, members of the armed forces and others.

This degree program consists of 30 semester hours of on-line course work and does
NOT require the taking of the Graduate Record Examination for admission. The
requirements for admission are as follows.

M Bachelor's Degree
M GPA of 3.0 overall from undergraduate study OR a GPA of 3.0 for the last
60 semester hours of undergraduate study
M Admission committee recommendation


The courses for this global Masters of Arts Degree will focus on the Interstate School
Licensure Consortium (ISLLC) standards which most states have adopted and will not
be Florida Department of Education approved for Educational Leadership certification in
Florida. [Persons interested in obtaining State of Florida Certification in Educational
Leadership should apply for the UCF Masters of Education (M. Ed.) in Educational
Leadership, a thirty-nine semester hour program.]

The Master of Arts Degree program consists of thirty semester hours utilizing the
following on-line courses. These courses may be taken in any order with the caveat
that EDA 6909 be the culminating course.

EDA 6061 Organization and Administration of Schools (available summer 2012)
EDA 6260 Educational Systems Planning and Management (available Fall 2012)
EDF 6481 Fundamentals of Graduate Research (available summer 2012)
EDF 6432 Measurement and Evaluation (available summer 2012)
EDA 6931 Contemporary Issues in Educational Leadership (available tba)
EDA 6232 Legal Aspects of School Operations (available Spring 2013)
EDA 6123 Educational Supervisory Practices I (available tba)
EDA 6240 Educational Financial Affairs (available Fall 2012)
EDA 6502 Organization and Administration of Instructional Programs (available
tba)
EDA 6909 Research Report in Educational Leadership (available tba)
