The TESCO 500 or 650 HS, the original portable hydraulic top drive
drilling system is reliable and eld proven. A selection of power
units provide the performance required for the majority of drilling
applications.
Simultaneous circulation and rotation of drill string during drilling
or tripping operations, reduces time, cost and risk associated with
reaming or back reaming.
The HS top drive is rated for 500 or 650 ton casing loads.
The ability to drill with stands speeds oriented directional drilling and
air, gas, or underbalanced drilling. Pipe handling and robotic features
decrease connection time and increase rig oor safety.
OPERATIONAL ADVANTAGES:
The complete system including the top drive, torque system and
power unit can be installed in less than one day. In most cases, no
rig modications are necessary.
The HS is equipped with an independent power supply.
Features such as dual directional link tilt, mousehole connection
extend, full rotational pipe handler thread compensation forward
and reverse torque limits, remote operated 10,000 psi rated dual
ball mudsaver/safety valve and remote operated quick change insert
drill pipe elevators.
A eld proven portable system, with over 20,000 operating days that
can be installed in less than a day, with little or no mast / derrick
modication.
An independent hydraulic power system to increase rig performance
which gives full horsepower to the top drive in critical backreaming
situations.
A modular system which can be broken down for road or air
transportation, assembled in a winterized oileld skid building,
stacked for premium deck space or packaged in standard 20 ft.
containers for commercial shipping.
