BREAKING THE CYCLE OF CHILD POVERTY

Poverty is the teleological concept that is never in line with the needs of
the poor but of needs of society. As accorded by Georg Simmel, the father of
the sociology of poverty, the teleological concept of poverty creates that notion
of caring for the poor as a legitimate right for the poor. That is, if transfer of
wealth or, at least, assistance to them would be that of a right of the poor and
the obligation of the rich and is not just a donation set forth by mere moral
obligation, cessation of poverty will lie across the zenith of the average.
Unfortunately, what great minds think may come to be far from reality as
actions come to lack their essence as a verb. As of the present, the prevalence
of poverty is never repudiated and remains to be an aching fact of the society.
And what is more repulsive is the verity that children, who are of futures hope
according to Dr. Rizal, are drag into the vortex of poverty. Hence, we have child
poverty.

Researches show that child poverty may be of classes. One is where the
family earns income enough for a dignified living but keep most and give what
they think is just fine to children. This is true for those who send their kids to
public schools but can keep up living just by the middle of the economic strata.
Second is that which where the income of the family can no longer suffice the
basic needs of it and ,thus, leaving children at home taking care of themselves
and their siblings eating rice and rice again. The second arrangement best suit
the setting in the Philippines as to the aspect of child poverty.

The issue on child poverty directly or indirectly links itself to the general
denotation of poverty. In a sense, a childs parents become who he is when he
becomes a parent. And there goes the cycle of the infamous poverty. If a childs
parent is a truck driver, the most common rule would establish the child to be
a driver himself when he grows. That is, if a child was born poor, he will be
that until the age of death; hell be poor.
As sociologist states, the only way of breaking such cycle is unlocking the
cycle. To make it clear, look for the main cause of the fire then put it off. In this
case, find out whats causing the cycle of child poverty and find ways to solve
such phenomena. Study shows that child poverty, as poverty connotes, trace
figure on the account of inadequacy of income of the family. If the family lacks
resources, the tendency is that children would remain at home and learn
nothing near from being in school and what becomes of a person after
education. The child remains home and learns from what the father or the
mother does. Then he ends, no offense, just like them.
In conclusion, the proximate cause bringing up the cycle of child poverty
comes about because of the derisory of finances to acquaint with the needs of
the family. The apparent solution into unlocking the cycle of child poverty lies
on education and family planning on all aspects. If the children of impoverish
families would be able to finish a college degree, better employment would
come across their destiny. As better employment continues to roar, better
standard of living comes approaching. And as better education, better
employment and better standard of living soar, the mallet to break the cycle of
child poverty and poverty itself comes in and pulverize it. As families come into
the ends of planning their life and its direction, there comes the bright light of
winning a quality life. Breaking the cycle of child held ties with breaking the
cycle of poverty and as they go hand in hand, there goes the beneficial travails
to ouster their regime by dreams and reaching them through means available
for man to exhaust.
