(St.

Augustine Church, Barberton, OH)

(June 22, 2014)
The Most Holy Body & Blood of Christ
Family meals are essential for the cohesion and growth of families. Nourishing food,
conversation, laughter, disagreements, prayer and ritual all give life and promote growth. The
Sunday Eucharist is the gathering meal for all parish families. Here we encounter community.
We more fully become what we receive: The Body of Christ! The two most important family
rituals are Sunday Eucharist and regular family meals.
326 Holy Hours were kept with Our Lord in Eucharistic Adoration. A Holy
Hour in front of the Blessed Sacrament is worth more than a thousand years of
human glory. (St Padre Pio) Your help is needed Friday from 3-4 pm...please consider
just one hour. Call Judy Soltis at 330-212-0926 if you are able to assist.
Dear Parishioners:
On Tuesday, June 24 at 7:00pm in the school cafeteria, we will be holding a joint Finance Council
and Parish Council Meeting. This meeting will be open to all parishioners. We will be discussing the
phases of our continued church restoration. Greg Spinos, a representative of the Facilities Services
Cooperation of the Diocese of Cleveland will be with us to answer any questions.
Christs Peace! Fr. David

Vacation Bible Schools WOW Workshop of Wonders, where over 100
children learned to Imagine and Build with God was a huge success.
Thank you to all who made this year a wonderful time for everyone.
Without our volunteers, there would not have been so many smiling
faces during VBS. The children sang, danced, played games, made
crafts and built lasting friendships all while worshiping God. Thank you
again to those who donated financially as well as those who shared their talents, we
are very grateful! Hope to see you next year at VBS.

Next week our diocese will take up the Peters Pence Collection, which provides the Holy Father with
the funds he needs to carry out his charitable works around the world. The proceeds benefit the most
disadvantaged: victims of war, oppression, and disasters. Join our Holy Father as a witness of charity to
those who are suffering.

The FEST Join us for The Fest on Sunday, August 3. The day is filled with great national
Christian artists (Third Day, Mandisa, Colton Dixon and for King & Country) and engaging family
activities. If you ask anyone who has ever come to The FEST, they will tell you that the best
part, is the Mass at the end of the day when 20,000+ come together as one at the Table of the
Lord. The Feast of Corpus Christi this weekend reminds us of the blessing of the gift of the
Eucharist. It is the source and summit of the life of the Church. The outdoor Mass at the FEST will be your best
part of summer. Go the The FEST website to learn more about the 14th Annual Catholic Family FESTival. Its a
great day of faith, family and fun. Its a day of inspiration and will be the highlight of your summer all for FREE. For
a schedule, parking information and all the details go to: www.the FEST.us.
