Worksheet: Actor Contract

1. I will attend all rehearsals for which I am scheduled and called.
2. I will provide an accurate schedule of my commitments to the stage manager
when I sign my contract.
3. If changes in my classes, work schedule, or other commitments occur, I will
immediately provide an updated schedule to the stage manager giving at least
72 hours notice.
. I will provide the stage manager with my phone num!er, address, e"mail
address, and any other reasona!le methods to contact me.
#. I will check the call!oard at least twice a day, once after 3:$$ pm.
%. I will !e ready to rehearse at the time rehearsal is scheduled and will !egin at

7. I will not !e late to any rehearsal or performance.
+. I will wear clothing and shoes appropriate for rehearsal and the costumes that
are designed for me in performance. I will follow directions regarding hair
and makeup.
,. I will not invite guests to rehearsal unless I have previously arranged this with
the stage manager and director.
1$. If I !ring food to rehearsal I will not let it interfere with any of my entrances, I
will not !ring it onstage, I will not make noise while I am opening or eating it,
and I will clean up after I am done.
11. I will !e prepared to take notes during rehearsal. -otes will include !locking
and acting instructions. .ll of my notes will !e written and studied during and
after rehearsal.
12. I will learn my lines !y the date set !y the director.

1. I will attend costume fittings at the time arranged !y the stage manager and
the costumer.
1#. If I am una!le to attend rehearsal !ecause of in/ury or illness, I will notify the
stage manager at least 2 hours in advance 0or as soon as possi!le1.
1%. I will !e on time for all technical rehearsals, dress rehearsals, and

17. I will not attend rehearsals or performances under the influence of alcohol or
drugs.
1+. I will treat my work on this role with seriousness and professionalism,
recogni2ing that my !ehavior creates similar !ehavior in others.
1,. I will e3pect respect, acceptance, and support from the entire production team
and will offer the same to them.
2$. I will participate in strike, which includes the following: all !reakdown and
cleaning up associated with the end of the run of a production. &his includes,
!ut is not limited to, !reaking down the set, cleaning the performance space
and dressing rooms, and collecting and storing props and costumes. &he
technical director and4or the stage manager will inform me when strike is
completed. I will not leave until notified.
21. I recogni2e that I was selected to participate in this production and that this is
a privilege, not a right.
I agree to these rules and will conduct myself professionally during my rehearsal and
performance time. I understand that !reaking this contract will !e grounds for dismissal
from the production.
