&aculty an" so on! Each #aculty has a name$ "ean an" %uil"ing! A #aculty may %e "ivi"e"
into a num%er o# schools$ #or e'amle$ the Science &aculty has a School o# (hysics an" a
School o# Chemistry! Each school %elongs to one #aculty only an" is )ocate" on *ust one
camus$ %ut one camus may%e the location o# many schools! Every school has name an"
an %uil"ing assigne" to! Each school o##ers "i##erent (rogrammes an" each rogramme can
%e o##ere" %y only one school! Each rogramme has a uni+ue co"e$ title$ level an" "uration!
Each rogramme comrises several courses$ "i##erent rogrammes have "i##erent courses!
Each course has a uni+ue co"e an" course title! Some courses may have one or more
rere+uisite courses an" one course can %e the rere+uisite course o# some other courses!
Each o# the stu"ents is enrolle" in a single rogramme o# stu"y which involves a
#i'e" core o# courses seci#ic to that rogramme as well as a num%er o# electives ta,en #rom
other rogrammes! Stu"ents wor, on courses an" are awar"e" a gra"e in any course i#
he-she asses the course! .therwise the stu"ent has to re/ta,e the #aile" course! The
system nee"s to recor" the year an" term in which the course was ta,en an" the gra"e
awar"e" to the stu"ent! Every stu"ent has a uni+ue I0! The system also ,ees the stu"ent
name$ %irth"ay an" the year he-she enrolle" in the course!
The school emloys lecturers to teach the stu"ents! A lecturer is allowe" to wor, #or
one school only! Each lecturer is assigne" an I0 which is uni+ue across the whole university!
The system ,ees the lecturer1s name$ title an" the o##ice room! A suervisor may%e in
charge o# several lecturers$ %ut a lecturer$ however reorts to only one suervisor! A lecturer
can teach many "i##erent courses! A course may also have %een taught %y many "i##erent
lecturers!

The university is oerate" %y committees! Each #aculty has to have a num%er o#
committees with the same titles across the university$ such as the &aculty E'ecutive$ the
(ost 2ra"uate Stu"ies Committee$ the 3ealth an" Sanity Committee$ an" so on! The
committees meet regularly$ such as wee,ly or monthly! The #re+uency is "etermine" %y the
#aculty involve"! A committee1s mem%ers are all lecturers! A lecturer may %e a mem%er o#
several committees.
