Land Management Inspection
Background
PDO concession area covers about 140,000 sq.km, which is about 40 % of Omans Land area. Of
this total concession, PDO has occuied art of the concession area to establish e!loration
and roduction facilities, which include facilities established b" contractors to meet PDOs
oerational needs.
#aintainin$ the qualit" of the land entrusted to both PDO and contractors is the most visible
evidence of due dili$ence. %owever the nature & ' P oerations involve ossibilities of
contamination of land either throu$h bad housekeein$, accidents or non comliance with our
environmental commitments. PDO strives to ensure roer mana$ement of land throu$h its
various environmental secifications and eriodic audits.
