THIS IS SPINAL TAP (1984)
The comedic and musical trio of Harry Shearer, Michael McK-
ean, and Christopher Guest have amazing chemistry together.
This helps sell the flms faux documentary style as real, which
then makes all the absurdity that much more entertaining.
Original, brutally funny and masterfully made, SPINAL TAP
will forever remain the most quintessential Rock N Roll com-
edy ever made. 7/10
A HARD DAYS NIGHT (1964)
Meet the Beatles! Just one month after they exploded onto the
U.S. scene with their Ed Sullivan Show appearance, John, Paul,
George, and Ringo began working on a project that would
bring their revolutionary talent to the big screen. A HARD
DAYS NIGHT, in which the bandmates play slapstick versions
of themselves, captured the astonishing moment when they of-
fcially became the singular, irreverent idols of their generation
and changed music forever. A HARD DAYS NIGHT, which
reconceived the movie musical and exerted an incalculable
infuence on the music video, is one of the most deliriously
entertaining movies of all time. 7/6
DIRTY DANCING QUOTE-ALONG (1987)
Baby and Johnny paved the way for future silver screen amalga-
mations of love on the dance foor. With such a monumental
legacy, DIRTY DANCING deserves our utmost respect, as
well as a high amount of romantic mega-sighs. So put down
that watermelon and join us for this special night at Keller-
mans, where chair dancing is encouraged and absolutely no one
will be put in the corner. 7/7
PITCH PERFECT SING-ALONG (2012)
Girlie Night and the Action Pack have teamed up to bring you
a night where making music with your mouth isnt just encour-
aged, its downright mandatory. Weve subtitled all of your a
capella lady jams, so you can sing-along with the Barden Bellas
and the Treblemakers, as well as all of your favorite quotes, be-
cause were Dixie Chick serious about loving this movie. 7/28
THE PRINCESS BRIDE QUOTE-ALONG (1987)
Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father.
Prepare to die. Is there a more quotable line from ANY movie
than that one? Well, that quote or maybe the whole Mawwage
thing...or I guess the As you wish is pretty iconic, too. Oh
gosh darn it! Every line in THE PRINCESS BRIDE has trans-
formed from mere lines in a script to gospel that melts even the
coldest of hearts. 7/21
24 HOUR PARTY PEOPLE (2002)
In 1976, Tony Wilson sets up Factory Records and brings
Manchesters music to the world. The ramblings of Tony, Joy
Division, The Durutti Column, The Happy Mondays and more
are told through an unconventional blend of fact, fction, myth,
urban legend and rumor. Tony Wilson chronicles the punk rock
movement in the late 70s, the new wave Madchester of the 80s
and the ecstasty fueled rave culture of the early 90s. 7/22
THE LAST WALTZ (1978)
Staged at San Franciscos Winterland hall, was a star-studded
love letter not only to The Band, but also to a style of music
that was rapidly disappearing in the second half of the 1970s.
By 1976, however, the quartet had been on the road for 16
years and, as Scorsese tells us through brief but insightful inter-
view segments, the rock n roll lifestyle had taken its toll. 7/17
SOME LIKE IT HOT (1959)
Tony Curtis, Jack Lemmon, and Marilyn Monroe have never
been better in this tale of two struggling musicians who witness
a mob hit and are forced to hit the road with an all-female
traveling band in the midst of Prohibition. Its Curtis/Lem-
mon in drag followed by nonstop situational humor: Monroe
as a boozy foozy! Lemmon being wooed by a male millionaire!
7/27
Spaghetti Western Wednesdays:
DUCK YOU SUCKER (1965)
An I.R.A. explosives expert on the run in Mexico meets an
amoral Mexican bandit; together they are drawn into the Mexi-
can revolution. Oh yeah, and theres spaghetti. 7/30
THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE (1974)
Five friends set out in a van and have the misfortune of cross-
ing paths with the demented Sawyer family. Director Tobe
Hooper made something so special and now its back on the big
screen for its 40th anniversary and new 4K restoration. 7/11
& 7/12
Video Vortex:
TIME OF THE APES (1987)
An illogical black hole of madness, jam-packed with psychedelic
visuals, deranged dubbing, and ape soldiers who drive rainbow-
colored hippie vans. The movie reeks of desperation, haste, and
recklessness. It has UFOs and a child-ape named Pepe who
wears corduroys. Were not saying that TIME OF THE APES
is better than PLANET OF THE APES. But it probably is. On
glorious VHS. Just $1. 7/23
Bangarang:
DESPERADO (1995)
The second installment of Robert Rodriguezs Mexico Tril-
ogy. Now thoroughly engrossed as a master of slick, glam-
ourized ultra-violence. Antonio Banderas portrays the nameless
El Mariachi musician who is out to avenge the murder of his
lover and the maiming of his fretting hand. 7/29

his car again in what appears to be a miracle, Tore is invited

part of his family. However, Benno cant resist playing a cruel

more and more extreme, Tore fnds his capacity for love and
resilience pushed to its limits, and beyond. 7/15
BORGMAN (2013)
A dark suburban fable exploring the nature of evil in unex-
pected places, BORGMAN follows an enigmatic vagrant who
enters the lives of an upper-class family and quickly unravels
their carefully curated lifestyle. Charming and mysterious,
Camiel Borgman seems almost otherworldly, and it isnt long
before he has the wife, children and nanny under his spell in
a calculated bid to take over their home life. However, his do-
mestic assimilation takes a malevolent turn as his ultimate plan
comes to bear, igniting a series of increasingly maddening and
menacing events. 7/2

after a deadly virus has swept the planet. 7/19
TIMECOP (1999)
Seriously if you havent had the pleasure of seeing TIMECOP
you have provided yourself quite the disservice. This movie has
it all: convincing enough time travel, non-stop signature Van
Dammage moves, and enough Ron Silver for you to shake a
stick at. 7/26

AMELIE (2001)
I wish I knew more French, but I dont, so instead Ill force
myself to describe my passion for this flm in plain old boring
English. The frst time I saw AMELIE, it immediately changed
all of my life goals. Who cares about things like career ad-
vancement and saving for retirement when you could be a
waitress in Paris and spend your days improving peoples lives
through the power of whimsicality? Amelie, is, in a word, my
hero. And for this months Girlie Night, we can all pretend to
be her for one magical evening. Feel free to bring along your
favorite garden gnome as we journey together into Amelies
fantastical, romantical, absolutely wonderful world. As the
French would say, LE SIGH. (Sarah Pitre) 7/14
Every Monday - Friday at 10:30am we will have a different
movie every week free for the kids. Reserve your seat with a $5
voucher to use in the theater during the screening.

ANNIE continues to shine like the top of the Chrysler building
as a musical classic, and were giving a whole new generation
the chance to fall in love with that spunky redhead (played by
the irresistible Aileen Quinn) and her trusty dog, Sandy. From
the deliciously awful Miss Hannigan (Carol Burnett) to the
taciturn and towering Punjab (Geoffrey Holder), this flm is
studded with stellar performances and show-stopping numbers.
