Summary: Investigation for the proteins responsible for adhesion of Verticillium longisporum to
the roots of Brassica napus during its infection process. Also, designing of Expression vector and
Silencing vector through Gateway Technology was achieved as apart of the training project.
Research conducted at the Institute of Microbiology and Genetics, Georg-August University,
Goettingen, Germany.

CREDENTIALS AND TRAINING EXPERIENCE:

• I have been a part of a training project at the INMAS institute of Defence Research and
Development Organization, Delhi for a period of 40 days from 2nd May-9th June 2009. During the
course of my training I investigated for the changes that occur in the genetic make up of Kabuli
chickpea, Cicer arietinum during its germination process. Also, the proteome profile of the pea
was analyzed to identify the changes in protein concentration and type.
• I have pursued my summer training at IKON Healthline, Karnal between 22nd June and 30th July,
2007 over the heritable disorder CYSTIC FIBROSIS. During the course of my training, I was a
part of molecular biology department of the above mentioned Institution. I worked on various
techniques dealing with DNA analysis and blood analysis, primarily PCR, Southern Blotting
during the course of my training.

Achievements

• Awarded scholarship from XLAB Experimental Laboratory, Goettingen, Germany.

• Achieved the Best Speaker Award and helped my team in winning the Youth Parliament in school.
• Represented school in various interschool Basketball tournaments and also at CBSE level.
• School Sports captain as well as Captain of the Basketball and Cricket Team
• Won the Best Sportsman award in school and the Best Basketball player at interschool level.
• Silver medalist in Basketball in the year 2006 and 2007 at college level.
