Pharmacy, Nirma University will be final and binding on the applicant. No correspondence from the applicant with
respect to his/her non-selection will be entertained. The admission process at the University shall be subject to
the jurisdiction of the courts of Ahmedabad.

Important Notes
1. The merit list of GPAT applicants to be called for counselling will be displayed on the website on 25
th
June,
2014. (www.nirmauni.ac.in)
2. The candidates whose name appears in the first merit list are required to report on 8
th
July, 2013. (No separate
intimation will be conveyed) for counselling.
3. Appearing for counselling does not guarantee admission.
4. The selected applicants will be given admission on the same day after checking testimonials and other related
documents.
5. The preference for admission will be given to valid GPAT score candidates, the non-GPAT candidates will be
admitted based on the merit of a National-Level written test to be conducted by Nirma University. The date of
written test & counselling will be 14
th
July, 2014 (No separate intimated will be conveyed).
6. The Original documents should be produced at the time of admission.
7. In case of any dispute / doubt in the interpretation of any clause, the decision of the admission committee shall
be final.
Guidelines to fill up the Application Form
The application processing fee: Rs. 1000/- (One Thousand) is required to be paid along with the submission
of filled Application form. The fees may be paid through Demand Draft drawn in favour of "INSTITUTE OF
PHARMACY, NIRMA UNIVERSITY" payable at Ahmedabad (In case of downloaded application form)
(Applicant should write his/her complete name on the backside of the Demand Draft) or in cash ( Only in
case of submission of application form in person)

Submission of Application Form
Duly filled in application form (Downloaded) in all respect should be received latest by the last date 16
th
June,
2014 in a sealed envelope marked as M. Pharm. ADMISSIONS 2014 on the left hand side top corner of the
envelope. The form can be submitted in person / by registered post / by courier to the below mentioned
address. The institute will accept application forms on all working days between 09:00 A.M. to
3:30 P.M. and on Saturdays between 09:00 A.M. to 12:30 P.M.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE
Intake
The approved intake capacity of M. Pharm Programme for the various specializations is as under:

#One seat is reserved in each branch for students who have passed their B. Pharm from Institute of Pharmacy, Nirma University.
Eligibility Criteria
For admission to M.Pharm. programme, the candidates must have passed the qualifying examination (B. Pharm) from a
recognised university with minimum 50% of aggregate marks* or equivalent Cumulative Grade Point Index(CGPI) or
any other qualifying degree examination considered as equivalent of B.Pharm degree by Nirma University with
minimum 50% marks* or equivalent CGPI.

Candidates who are appearing for the final semester of qualifying examination can also apply. In such case, the
candidate is required to submit the result as soon as the same is available either by fax or by email (scanned image) but
not later than 16
th
June, 2014.
If applicant has passed the qualifying examination from a University other than Nirma University he/she will be
required to obtain an eligibility certificate from Nirma University. The arrangement for obtaining the same will be made
on the spot at the time of admission on payment of Rs. 500/-.
Stipend
All meritorious students (GPAT / Non GPAT) will be given stipend as per university norms.
Selection Procedure
1. Applicants with valid GPAT score will be given preference for admission in all the branches and admission will
be given based on the merit of GPAT score.
2. The NON-GPAT candidates will be admitted based on the merit of the National-Level written test conducted by
the University. The date of written test will be intimated separately. The procedure will be initiated only if the
seats are vacant after considering the qualified GPAT candidates.
3. For NON- GPAT candidates, the entrance test will comprise of multiple choice questions of 100 marks. There
will not be any negative marking. The syllabus for the test will be related to Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical
Chemistry (Including Pharma Analysis), Pharmacology and Pharmacognosy of B.Pharm level.
4. If equal rank in case of GPAT candidates and equal score in case NON-GPAT candidates occurs the merit of
qualifying examination will be considered.

Fee Structure
The Tuition Fees for: M. Pharm. - Rs. 1.00,000/- per semester
Extra Amount to be recovered towards Rs. 2950/- Per semester
additional cost as per details given below
Fee determined by the Fee regulatory committee in pursuance to Hon'ble Supreme Court judgment towards the cost of
revision of the pay scales vide letter No.: FRC/FEE/2011-14/SC/2012/269 dated 24th December, 2012. The Copy of the
said order of the Fee regulatory committee is already available on our website. This will be made applicable every year till
you continue as student. This is an addition to regular fees being paid by you. It will be half semester wise w.e.f. 2013-14
which will be Rs.2950/- per semester.
Other Charges/Deposits Applicable for all programmes

Caution Money Deposit - Rs. 2500/- (Refundable)
Library Deposit - Rs. 5000/- (Refundable)
University Examination Fees - Rs. 4000/- per semester
(Semester End Exam, Continuous Evaluation, Semester Grade Report)
Hostel (Optional)
Hostel Fees - Rs. 50,000/- per academic year
Hostel Electricity Advance - Rs. 5000/- per academic year Subject to revision of fees
Mess Charges - Rs. 30000/- for ten months
Laundry Services - Rs. 2500/- Per Annum
Tuition fee is to be paid in two installments (semester wise)
The Applicant will be required to pay Rs. 10000/- as deposit on the day on which the admission is offered.
This deposit will be adjusted against the payment of fees.
Hostel Accommodation
Separate hostel facility for Boys & Girls is available on campus for P.G. Students on first come first basis.
