About the ADASIS Forum
Set up in 2002, the ADASIS Forum is an industry platform where vehicle
manufacturers, ADAS suppliers, navigation system suppliers and map and data
providers cooperate on the development and the implementation of the ADAS
Horizon concept.
Our Mission
Drive the broad adoption of a standardised interface between in-vehicle ADAS
applications and map data sources by aligning automotive OEM requirements,
delivering specifcations, developing a reference implementation and
supporting deployment.

The ADAS Horizon Concept
As a predictive sensor, digital maps enable drivers to anticipate the road ahead, efectively
extending their horizon beyond what is immediately visible and thereby contributing to
safer, smarter and cleaner mobility.

Defne strategic plans with respect to the ADAS Horizon concept roadmap,
including road attributes and applications, and support action to facilitate
implementation.
Develop synergies with national/international development and deployment
activities relevant to digital maps, automotive navigation and ADAS applications.
Liaise with standardisation activities.
Defne a standardised data model, data requirements, and a functional architec-
ture necessary to build the ADAS horizon.
Defne a standardised interface to enable ADAS applications to access this
ADAS horizon.
Determine the software interface specifcations necessary to build/access the
ADAS horizon, including the protocols necessary to handle the required data
stream via the in-vehicle data bus.
Develop and maintain a reference implementation.
Promote the ADAS Horizon concept and benefts from enabled applications with
respect to road safety, driving comfort, emission reduction and fuel economy.
Organise demonstrations and participate in major conferences and congresses.
