Travel agencies and airlines use this field to send and receive messages. THINGS TO REMEMBER: For the travel agents use this optional field to send messages to airlines regarding your clients contact details, APIS, SFPD etc. For the airlines they use this field to send message to agents about booking or special request cancellation or confirmation, ticketing deadline, name change authorization and more. GFAX has two (2) categories: OSI and SSR (e.g. CHLD and INFT) The function identifier for GFAX is 3 Each GFAX entry may have a maximum of 64 characters including spaces, 44 characters for OSI item. The goal is to minimize confusion when matching passengers against the terrorist watch list. ** Redress number - A unique 13-digit identifier issued by the Department of Homeland Security to individuals who have been misidentified as being on the terrorist watch list.
