500 series: symbiosis between

The 500 series consists of carefully thought-out devices with a functional design and high-quality
technology. Considerations such as providing the 500 series with a built-in user guide and an online
help function. Flexibility and functionality at the highest level.
The device has a large, ultra-sharp backlight screen, which makes it very user-friendly to operate, and it
offers you 27 different types of electrotherapy currents, ultrasound, laser, combination and
simultaneous treatments. The two totally independent channels allow two different current types to be

successfully into my daily practice ?
Advancing medical science and the variety of treatment methods, dont make it easier for you to take the
right therapeutic decision. At the same time, youre expected to be able to justify your preference for a
particular method with hard data from controlled clinical trials.
GymnaUniphy comes to your aid in this modern dilemma. Our latest machines are equipped with an
intelligent system for presetting the parameters and generating useful information.
This invention is called Guided Therapy System or G.T.S. for short.

Therapeutic programming
Therapeutic programming means that treatment
objectives such as decrease pain or improve
trophic condition are selected rather than
abstract variables like frequency spectrum or
pulse width.
If, for example, you select decrease pain the
G.T.S. will want to know from you the intensity of
the pain (the VAS score). The corresponding
form of therapy and parameters will be automati-
cally displayed on the screen of the device.
These recommendations are based, as much as
possible, on clinical evidence.
A GTS-enabled machine mirrors, step by step,
your pattern of therapeutic thought. This means
that you can give more attention to your patient.

Evidence-based therapy
More than 7200 pages of scientific publications,
therapeutic directives and treatment protocols
are held in the systems database.
After presetting your treatment objective, the
system automatically selects the most
appropriated current or therapy and the best
parameters. In other words, the G.T.S., by itself,
finds a connection between the therapeutic
objective and the scientific evidence. If that
evidence doesnt exist, an experience based
therapeutic recommendation is made.
In the users guide that comes with the apparatus,
the therapist receives an extensive literature list.
New features can be added in the system by
updating the software.
HELP and information screens
The G.T.S. presents handy HELP and information
screens.
Thanks to the judicious use of Information and
Communications Technology (ICT) our latest
machines are crammed with information, which
you can select easily. The different types of elec-
trotherapeutic current are explained, the effects
of the various parameters shown and reasons
given for the suggested types of therapy. You
can, on some machines, even call up details of
the optimal electrode placement or the ultra-
sound heads.
All the information is shown on an LCD screen.

efforts. As physiotherapy for children is equally important, the screen
