I. Course Description This course introduces students to business applications for computer-based personal productivity tools. Application software covered in the course focuses on spreadsheets, presentations, and database. The emphasis for all of these packages will be the business utilization of the software.
II. Course Objective At the end of this course, the students should be able to: 1. Familiarize the user interface of the new Microsoft Excel 2007 application. 2. Memorize the different keyboard shortcuts of different functions. 3. Know how to format and design a simple spreadsheet. 4. Familiarize the different arithmetic functions and logical functions in manipulating data. 5. Perform exercises about the use of Excel in Real Life situations like in businesses.
